About Bound Dagger...

Post » Sat Mar 09, 2013 5:49 am

Greeting to everyone!

Im aware (Or at least i think i am...) that this particular conjuration spell is somewhat buggy... Can anyone, preferably a PS3 player, tell me what exact bugs this spell has? I have heard that the bound dagger is "noisy" like a sword, i also read that the dual power attack is the spinning sword animation, and that the sneak attacks are based on other one handed weapons (3x and 6x) instead of the regular daggers modifiers (3x and 15x).

Any input is welcome, but as a PS3 player im looking foward to PS3 players to clarify me...Thanks!

I don't use the dagger, but according to the wiki (uesp isn't specific, I hate that), it has those bugs you mentioned.

The spinning animation, it makes noise when swung. Nothing mentioned about the sneak multiplier though.

Yeah, since i think UESP is more reliable then the wiki, but they dont mention anything specific about it... If anyone could just try i would be most grateful! I think i could live with the noise bug...Sneak+Illusion is so OP it doesnt matter, annoying? Yes, but not that bad...

I'm not sure what you mean by noisy. I'm swinging it around right now and it doesn't sound any different than other daggers. Also I am on PS3 right now.

-edit- I just noticed in third person, my hands are no where near where they should be on the handle. Both hands are like this but only in third person.

Try swinging a dagger or killing a NPC in a stealth way with a dagger. Now do it with a sword. The dagger will keep you hidden, while with the sword you will be detected by nearby enemies. (According to what people have told me so far...) In game it is silent, is just a bug of how the game treats the bound dagger...

What about the sneak bonus? Does it benefit from the 15x like it supposed to?

I'll try and kill some NPCs. But I don't have the Assassin's Blade perk so I can't try that out.

As far as I can tell it is more like a sword. But it swings faster. So hard to tell without testing the Assassin's Blade perk. I'll reset my perks and test it out.

-edit- I just tested it out with the Assassin's Blade perk and it works as it should, I got 15x damage, but the power attack animation is actually the sword animation I believe.

Thanks a lot for all the help so far...Kudos to you Sir ;)

I would try all this boring stuff for myself...But its a quest reward in the DLC... It would take me a while, plus i would spoil a lot of things.
