I think this is the reason why the game is disappointing for many, they saw a video of the game when it was going an other way.
It would also explain the lack of content in the game despite the long development time.
Don't get me wrong I love this game a lot, but this is what differentiate a professional studio like lets say Naughty Dog or Bioware and Splash Damage.
However the developers at SD are very likeable they are still a bit amateur. They have great ideas, but they should plan ahead better and know the capabilities of their studio and if it can deliver their promises. I think this makes a professional and creditable game game studio.
Splash Damage can be an even better studio know after the experience of Brink. Know they know their limits better. If they can regain the trust of customers and publishers.
What do you think?
