So, about Cliff Racers...

They were apparently real at one point... http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com/2015/04/29/chinese-dinosaur-had-bat-like-wings-and-feathers/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=link_fb20150430ph-chinesedino&utm_campaign=Content&sf8897058=1.

These creatures were, thankfully, driven to extinction by the Jiubusaurus, with in turn was driven to extinction by the Dremorasaurus.

...and 200 years later it was still common in places to see "effigies" of Saint Jiub, fashioned from ragged old clothing, standing out in fields around the more settled regions to frighten off cliffracers.

So dragons were real, and these monsters did chase them off. :P Thanks, cliff racers, but I'll take my chances with the dragons... ;)

Cliff Racers... The Kings of the Smashed Controller Graveyard.

I need a 'summon cliff racer' spell in my life.

"Staff of EverRacer"? If there's the proverbial Bluebird of Paradise, I guess the exact opposite would be the Cliffracer from Hell.

Seeing how Cliffies got spammed all over the place in quantity, I'd say it didn't end well at all.

I missed seeing the Cliff Racers in TES IV.
I enjoyed using them for target practice in Morrowind.
The real annoyance I had with them is killing one and then watching its corpse fall through the landscape.

Worse when you'd killed the Cliff Racer from the shorefront and the rock was underwater.

I remember levitating to get to places where I was not supposed to go and running into those darn things every ten feet.

I love how 12 years later, anyone that ever played Morrowind EVER will universally not only hate Cliff Racers but remember the sound and the feeling of dread when they were tougher than gosh-darn bandits or Necromancers.

errr....
No.

Not EVERYONE hates cliff racers.

My first post in this thread
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1517111-so-about-cliff-racers/?p=24003704

Does anyone know of mods to add cliff racers to Oblivion and/or Fallout 3 ?

I'm not aware of any. But if you play Skyrim, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24913/? adds a few to the east and south-eastern portions of Skyrim.

Been playing SWTOR. (Don't look at me like that, I'm allowed to enjoy other hame series!) Anyway, on one planet, Rishi, there's a certain ambient sound of a bird call.

For a half-second, it sounds just like a [censored] Cliff Racer.

The first time I heard that sound, I looked around, trying to find the damn thing that made that sound so I could wring its neck. You should know, I haven't played Morrowind in years.

You know you've made a terrible ingame enemy when a player tries to kill it in another game because they heard something similar, despite the fact that they haven't fought that enemy for years.
