Many FO players wasn't to pleased with Tactics. For me it was a very fun game and one I've replayed more then I replayed both FO 1 and FO2.

The main difference with tactics over FO1 and FO2 is that it is only combat. You are given a mission and a location on the map. You then go there, do the mission and return to your base, where you can replace your crew, sell your loot and get better equipment.

I never tried BOS so I can't give you any info on that.

As for cars in FO3, the answer is no. At least not cars you can drive. There will be cars, but they are pretty much only bombs you can fire at and set them off.

Tactics yes, BoS for XBox no is the general consensus IIRC. I like Tactics anyways.

Tactics is fun for what it is (a non-canon, completely different game from the fallouts). You should try it out for sure. Don't even ask about BOS. Complete disaster.

yeah, count me in as one who enjoyed tactics for one play-through. it certainly isn't like 1, 2, or 3, but if you like squad-based combat from iso perspective, it's pretty decent.

Fallout Tactics is like a turn based rainbow six game set in the fallout world.

The xbox "Brotherhood of Steel" is one of the worst games ever created.
It's like a messed up, sky down view, beat-em-up, nightmare of bordom and dedium. Burn it, Burn It Now!

Tactics is amazing and is as close to a Working VanBuren (original Fallout 3) as you will ever get, with real time Action Point based combat and all.

Brotherhood of Steel was ... well... only some 17k people bought it, Thats should tell you something about how bad it was.

You can try No Muntants Allowed.

I also had fun with Tatics. Worth trying at least once.

You can't get the actual Van Buren that shows you how far they got anywhere. The only thing that can be downloaded is a very early technical demo that demonstrated how the engine worked and wasn't very representative of how the final game would look like. You can also download the design documents for most of the game's locations, however.

I enjoyed tactics for three reasons, strategy, multiplayer modes, and custom creation tools
