About Mr.House

So, are we just going to see him behind a big screen? Or are we going to meet face to face?

Well, on the assumption he is a computer, metaphorically, you see him face to face. On the assumption its a Wizard of Oz thing, maybe we'll see him in a sterilized room with a glass window. But so far, the only interaction we know of with him, is that giant computer.

I really hope he isn't a computer. I am sick of that trope and would prefer a Howard Hughes figure

I say it's all just a fake-out... There is no Mr. House... Not a single individual anyhow, but a board comprised of rich casino heads that use the House mythology to keep the citizens of Vegas in check... It also provides a powerful faux leader for negotiations with the exterior factions of the Mojave.

Well it was said he's 'very much inspired by howard hughes'

But I agree, I really don't want another 'SURPRISE! COMPUTER!' person.

But with alot of older Fallout devs, whos writing in F1 and F2 made me laugh at its cleverness, I'd sincerely come to expect they wont do a computer main character, seeing as how Fallout 3 JUST did that.

I oddly agree. However if there is a 'Mr. House' he better not be a computer. I would prefer a Wizard of OZ thing. Hes like right behind you as your distracted with the screen lol.

I would like it if one of the devs confirm what he is.If he's human or a ZAX...just to stop all the speculation and constant threads about him.

Heh everone wants him to be howard hughes but wasnt towards the end there aside from germaphobia he was saving his pee in jars because it was valuable?? kind of crazy hehe... Here is an offical hope he is a bit more like say Walt Disney who was well also a bit off but not into hoarding body fluids.. (ANd methinks got jared on his request after his death heheh.)

I am thinking he is indeed a man but probally the only smart person in the game as he does not trust you enough to be in striking distance heh

I would not like him to be 'just a computer'
the idea seems like an obvious recycling of the FO3 plotline

Yeah, but I'm placing bets that he isn't, they wouldn't spoil it with gameplay videos/ trophies this early

Yes? I'm quite fond of the idea.I would prefer him to only be one person(makes him all the more better) but if not,I wouldn't mind it being a council of powerful business men.

President Eden as a compuer wasn't that bad, but I think Obsisdion would know that it would not be good to do the same thing. They probably have something up their sleeve to surprise us all. Hopefully anyway.

Excuse me, but are you trying to suggest that somehow Dr. House is the Illuminati?

That would sound like a cool idea to use for House...but is NV that big to be controlled by something like a secret council? It would work better if they have a secret plan to conquer the wasteland or something...

Personally, I just think that idea is dumb, I prefer the Mr House and his Securitrons idea.

Be funny if he has 'awaken' from cryo but never left the tube. His body and mind are intact in the tube but he sees everything through wire computer uplinks.

Similar to the Brain in a jar but not exactly.

Or at least show him with some crippled leg that took frostbite damage or something.

The problem with all these theories is one of them is bound to be right. That one is going to make sense to people. Those people are going to be spoiled unintentionally :P

Oh but its so much fun to the person who is right.

Its fun to guess and find out wether your right (which is awesome) or being wrong and being surprised.

Unless its another computer.

We need to start a 'Called It!' thread for all the things we speculated right. After a few days of playing. Will of course need to be in Spoilers.
