I love her. She has been my companion and friend since she became my companion. She says some interesting stuff and always makes me laugh with her crazy AI. Its getting a bit repetitive now though haha.

At first I wasn't to sure about having a companion with my, but I came to depend on her.

Now I am too afraid to let her die (I admit, I reloaded a couple times when she did).

I was just curious, can she be married? If so then can I get a new companion and leave her at home?

yep you can marry lydia just get an amulet of mara and ask her if she's interested in you

She is supposed to be able to marry... But for some reason most of us can't get her to open that dialogue

By the way, when I said "I love her", I didn't mean literally lol. I meant I love having her with me and I don't want her to die off.

I'm with you; I think she's great and she's especially awesome with staves. She even makes a horned helm look good too. She's about a half a head taller than I am and the only thing I wish is that she'd stop blocking doorways. I have to get in her face before she'll move and it's always funny.
