So I'm about to take the ACT

Post » Wed Mar 19, 2014 2:01 pm

I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep, half a biscuit from Hardee's, and one of those nasty Mtn Dew kickstart things, and ADHD meds.

What should I expect?

Expect to bubble in 'C' for every answer. Trust in my divinity and ye shall know everlasting good fortune.*

I did pretty well on mine, but it is by no means the end all be all. Just try your best, you can always retake it. And even if you choose not to you can still get into the colleges you want via other means.

No idea what you're talking about. Some kind of fancy college entrance exam?

Better be a fast reader for the Science and Reading sections unless things have changed since I took the test.

edit: I am not a fast reader and still managed to do well. It just makes it easier.

Just finished.
Okay so:

English or whatever first section: Easiest major test I have ever taken in this area.

Math: Some of it was easy, some I couldn't remember how to do. That's probably because I don't have a math class this semester and have gotten rusty. I would have absolutely kicked ass if I did this segment back in November or December.

Reading: Snoozefest, mind-numbingly easy.

Science: Easy, all I had to do was look at graphs, but HOLY [censored] insufficient time. It's a 40 question test, but we had 35 minutes to do it, and almost all of the questions required a minute or two to read and think about. I only got to actually work up to number 24 before time ran out and I had to just randomly bubble in the rest. Which is really bothering me, because science classes are where I do best, but that will be my worst area on this test just because the timing was [censored].

Writing: Lame and boring prompt, I made my points and tried to make it legible.
