So, about that nice preload...

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 6:15 pm

Friday, four days to go, how about releasing that PC preload Beth? Cmon, we have been good boys and we avoided sharing leaks...we deserve having all weekend to download those 30GB ;)

It's less than five days. The game unlocks in North America in 3 days, 17 hours and 20 minutes.

I agree it's time to let us start pre-loading. :)

This is the first game I've pre purchased on steam. How does the unlock work? Once you pre download do you need to play the game to start the remaining download or will it update automatically at unlock?

Kids are in bed around 8 and I'm asking so I can have it ready to go on the 10th once they are in bed but I prefer not to have to stay the game and turn on the monitor to the menu screen and miss all the first time cinematics and what not. My wife doesn't understand but this is the first game in a while I've been really looking forward to and I want to try to recapture those gaming moments of my 20s with a first fire up.

I will be the voice of "you all telling me to fall in a endless hole" and say we have to wait till Sunday before preload happens :D

As for how it works, depends on how steam is setup. But if you want to be surten, keep checking your steam games library and when you see that nice install/preload button light up green under Fallout 4 in your library, then start clicking it mate. :D :brokencomputer:

Does someone know how pre load starts for Ps4? Some people have the message start 8 others 9. And worse How much would it be my info says 41,1 gb but there is no way ps4 will be 10 gb more than pc and Xbox One. I am concerned why don't they put the information right?

So if I have the computer on and steam up it will automatically decrypt and do the day one patch on launch day.

Hope the preload come out today.it's freaking 30 gigs or so depending on the preload.

I bought mine digital yesterday on steam,I don't want to wait around downloading in the game date release while everyone is playing. :sadvaultboy:

Could be 10GB more than Xbox One as the PS4 versions of 3rd party games generally run at higher resolutions or have higher levels of detail which mean bigger file sizes......not sure about PC....PC versions of some high profile games have been getting shafted lately.....don't really care if they do or don't though, that's why I game on PS4, to stay out of PC shenanigans as much as possible. My gaming PC is strictly for DRM free games.

Your data is on your copy you get with the package so you have to wait until release day to download it.

I am hoping maybe that's when Amazon will ship my copy since it's says it will today. Problem is... it's almost a 3 hour wait! :'(
