So about that Platinum Lucky 38 Chip...

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:20 pm

Really?! I did not know that. You guys are such spoilers.

Just my own personal speculation, I wouldn't take it as anything more.

I just learned that the chip is The Contents of the package that the Courier was carrying.

Whoops, missed your post. I'd thought this for awhile, mind sharing where you got the info?

OverlordX, can you please edit your post about the L38 chip with spoiler tags? While I had already read about it earlier today, if I didn't I would be very annoyed right now.

If it is in fact a spoiler, it is a very minor one. Just like "finding out who shot you" it is something you find out relatively immediately. If that wasn't the case, we wouldn't know it already. The real questions, very clearly, is what is it? It can't JUST be a gaming chip...

I wonder whats so special about it, maybe that chip means you get a personal audience with Mr.House. :vaultboy:

Maybe, maybe not. The whole getting shot, getting revenge and what's in the package isn't supposed to be all that important anyways. It's the gateway drug to many hours wandering in the wastes.

Well how big is it? I don't think I could take more than 6 inches.Although I could try to make some more room, it wouldn't be too painful.

that's what she said!

I approve of this...

Platinum is a very rare and valuable metal, that might be enough reason to steal it, although I hope to god that there is a different reason for it.

I'll probably find some way to prop it up on my tv though. As long as it's real metal.

Its not funny if you try that hard to make it sound suggestive...

I have yet to preorder so I have not really looked into it. I was assuming it would be a regular sized poker chip? Is it like a giant plate one or something?

I'm actually looking forward more to the playing cards... Each one uniquely illustrated.. .. that's pretty special. Also kind of looking forward to playing a live version of caravan with them once I know the rules... or depending on what card game it actually is like.. or actually is.

I am going to put it next to my Vault-Boy bobble head which is right next to my Star Ship Enterprise pewter model. Or I might just toss it in my Fallout Lunch box so it doesn't get dusty.

You folks have all that stuff right?

You're referring to your display case I assume. I'm guessing the chip will be bigger than standard casino chip size, so no one takes it into a real casino trying to pull a fast one on the card dealer at the black jack table.

Where is this casino thats so stupid you can do this? I have a box of poker chips in my desk drawer so I'll just walk in and cash them there. :D

Exactly how big is the actual thing? Do we know? I'm guessing it will be normal size. The CE bonuses seem kinda lame for NV... I'm rather dissapointed, they were much cooler for Fo3. I'm only ordering it for the 'how its made' video.

How exactly do you break a dagger?

I would guess, by hitting it on someones skull to hard?

I'm going to use mine as a coaster, dust collector or frisbee.
Haven't decided just yet.
Seriously though I can't see any practical use for it, only interested in the book anyway.

To be a collector?
