Nevertheless, I can't wait for when it comes out. It's the first game preorder I've fully paid off this Fall.

Well how big is it? I don't think I could take more than 6 inches.

Although I could try to make some more room, it wouldn't be too painful.

Can't tell for sure, but looking at the http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/05/11/your-first-look-at-the-fallout-new-vegas-collectors-edition/- if we assume that deck of cards is standard size and try to guess, I'm thinking it might be 3 inches (7.62 cm) diameter tops? Of course that's just eyeballing it...nosing around gaming supply web sites I've seen chips running 2.63 inches (66.7 mm) to 2.70 inches (68.7 mm) and if the other chips in the CE are about that size, my guess still looks "about right" to me. We'll know in late October, whatever the case might be. :)

that's what she said!

in regards to the OP, from the picture at least the licky 38 chip looks larger then the other casino chips. I'll likely carry it around as my http://inception.wikia.com/wiki/Totem a-la the movie Inception... :)

I'm going to use mine as a coaster, dust collector or frisbee.
Haven't decided just yet.
Seriously though I can't see any practical use for it, only interested in the book anyway.

I'd rather have had a snow globe, but the chip will do. Just home it doesnt change color like cheap jewery.

As for its use? Live or die? Flips coin, nope, not your lucky day

The Pip Boy looked very cool, it was an Amazon exclusive when you purchased the "Survival Edition". Too bad the battery operated clock was prone to break down. Mine is nothing more than a prop now... :sadvaultboy:

Vault Boy, not Pip-Boy, the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Pip-Boy. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_Boy.
[edit]
Or wait... Are you talking about the bobblehead or was there an actual pip-boy that came with a fallout 3 special edition?
[edit2]
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/fallout-3-survival-edition.jpg Only knew about the bobblehead collectible that came with a special edition, never knew they gave out a pip-boy clock thingy as well. My mistake.

Let me explain from the words of comic book guy, "WORST SURVIVAL EDITION EVER". That thing is one of the crappiest collectors items ever that thing should only be worth $5 but it's $100 there's no way I'm paying that much for a piece of garbage. If it was $10 or $15 I would buy it but no way am I paying 100 bucks. If this Lucky 38 (I'm a L38 fan boy :D ) chip is crap there is gonna be some serious complaining from my mouth. :brokencomputer:

I never could have guessed this, everything I knew in my life is a lie.

Same here though, I'm excited since the 'Ace' card is supposed to be Mr. House, The Platinum Lucky 38 chip, and HOPEFULLY the All Roads comic will involve Mr.House in some way.

Does anyone know what the chip is made out of? I haven't been able to find an actual description, though my search-fu is admittedly weak.

I'm really hoping it's stainless steel, or even an aluminum alloy of some sort. I just REALLY hope it's not some cheap chrome-painted plastic piece of crap.
