So, about that respec...

Old World Blues is said to have a respec*, but also a level cap for hardcoe players to stop leveling up. I'm really up for this, because I really don't know where else to put my skill points anymore (my Unarmed is at 75 even though I never plan to use my fists), and I don't want to feel superhuman (plus, I play a bit from the RP standpoint). I think it's a good aspect of the game for your character to have weaknesses. BUT, one thing I would love to continue to get is perks. They're not necessarily game-changers, and I don't want to be denied the cool new perks you get with each DLC simply because I'm a little hardcoe. So, what do you think? Oh, yea, one more thing... Wouldn't it also be cool to be able to select your title? Like, those ones you get depending on your level and karma. Not everyone wants to be called "Messiah" or "True Mortal" or "Devil."

*Respecialization: In case you're that nooby, it means basically you take back all your SPECIAL, skills, and perks, and re-input them in different ways (if you wish).

.....Why? Perks are meant to make the game a slightly easier experience, if you were just handed every perk, what's the point of leveling up if at the end of that post apocalyptic rainbow, the game treats us like a brain dead puppy and go 'WHO'S A GOOD BOY? Did my widdle player wayer get to wevel 50? Let me coddle woddle my widdle pwawer with ewey perk in the game. WHO'S A GOOD PWAYER?"

I'm fine being shut out of perks I didnt choose.

As to karma. If I go around kicking puppies, beating children with rebar clubs, peeing on the sickly, and crapping on peoples beds. I don't expect the game to call me 'Well loved hero'. Karma is a reflection of how the world as a whole sees you. If you're a dike, expect to be called a dike. If you're a hero, better expect people to shower you with love and sunshine.

Eh, sorry you misunderstood me. I meant you could only still select titles in your karma range, just that you could select titles from different levels (e.g. I think the title "Ranger of the Wastes" sounds cooler than my current one, "Messiah"). And I guess you don't agree with me about the first part. A lot of the fun I get from new DLCs is the perks, because I just have a real liking for them. Besides, 25 perks in total wouldn't be halfway close to being handed "ewey perk in the game." Would you mind voting "No" in the poll, just so I can get a tally of what people think?

DLC perks given via an event? That's completely different.

As to karma titles. I think Messiah sounds like Im a better good guy than 'Ranger of the Wastes'. Way I see it, the titles show how good/neutral/evil you are.

I think they should just have a big bunch of off and on toggle options to toggle before you start the game.. Level cap/no level cap, perks every level/perks every 2,3,4 levels, hardcoe, weight limit.. blah, blah, etc. There are times when I want to play a really hard game and there are times when I want to run around, collect everything possible and play a god like character.
Like right now I'm just playing around while I wait for the next DLC.. I'd really like to have a perk every level at the moment just so I can try some of the sillier ones out .. If I had it on PC I'd obviously just be cheating or modding my character... but since i'm on the xbox all I can think of is.. "man.. it sure would be nice if they just gave me the option to be cheaty." I mean.. it's a single player game.. who cares how I play it?
