Spears aren't in as far as we know, and I doubt unit tactics are in the game. Perhaps in a book they could explain those.

No real info is out there about legion tactics. The only Romanesque thing about them is their name and look in Morrowind, the rest is pretty much in the dark.

We should get the devs to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Re_Militari and rewrite it for magical and territorial tactics in Tamriel.

That would be AMAZING. Tamriel's got a rich history of wars and conflict, it sure would be great to know more about how those battles were fought and why the Legion is supposed to be the end all of military might.
