Taylor walked through the wasteland, cupping his hands around his eyes to look at the sun. He scowled at it before turning back to the ground, making sure he didn't foolishly trip over a rock. He drew closer to Megaton as he walked, the hunting rifle on his back seeming much heavier than he had thought it was when he set out from his home, or clinic as he liked to call it, which was located closer to the Capital, and even Rivet City. The headwrap he wore no longer helped to shield him from the sun, the fabric being worn thin by the radioactive rays, so he stashed it in his pocket and continued walking. Soon, he made out the turbine from some airplane which stood atop Megaton. He stopped for a minute and looked at it before he approached it. Outside, instead of noticing the caravan or the protectron deputy, his eyes settled on the man lying on the ground. Doctor T walked over to him and crouched down.
"You alright sir?" He asked, taking in the man's appearence. He was old and disheveled, and he appeared sick to Taylor.
"Water," The old man rasped, almost barking it at the doctor "I need water."
Taylor reached back to his belt, which held a few bottles of water, along with some buffout bottles. "Will any water do?" The traveler asked him "Purified water can be hard to come by."
The man shook his head, gasping, and rasped again "No, i need purified water. I just throw the irradiated stuff right back up."
Taylor nodded and pulled out a bottle of purified water and handed it to him "Here, just don't drink it all now. Save some for later, alright?"
The old man nodded as he peered at the water, sparkling as the sun shined through it. "Whatever you say doc."
Taylor sighed and handed the water to him. He didn't have to turn to know the man was chugging the water. Whenever someone got the water, they downed it. Never enough purified water. Taylor walked through the sheet-metal doors into Megaton, heading for the Brass Lantern, hoping he could rent a room there.
