If you had absolute power over the law, whats the first thing you would make illegal?

suspend democracy for a second, your will is law:- so what you would prohibit?

Every male will wear a Lucario suit from 6 am to 10 pm and every female will dress as Miyuki Takara at those times. Other than that things would be the same.

DRM. Take that, Ubisoft!

What, you expected a serious answer? :P

I can think of a lot of things I'd like to change, way too many to list.

Of course, the crux of the matter is being able to enforce the law.

The secret to the awesome power of the Corgi are their rarity. You don't want some in-bred over-bred dog like the golden retriever, right? Poor puppy-milled dogs. :(

Hey, there we go, I'd make puppy mills illegal. For punishment... hmm, what does Mike Rowe think is the Dirtiest Job ever?

For any one person to have absolute control over the law. I don't much like how that scenario's worked out over the times.

Edit: But for the sake of theoretical questions: stupidity. How I'd enforce it.. Well, that's another matter.

I would ban the vuvuzela. It would be the equivalent of being in possession of an atom bomb.
Second off I would force the entire U.S. to dress in dinosaur outfits (http://www.gigaweb.com/files/productsimages/BS_C/33327.jpg) and have them do the Thriller dance. Anyone unable to perform the dance perfectly will be sentenced life in prison.'

Edit: Now that I look at it, it looks more like a dinosaur eating a child rather than a child in a dinosaur outfit.

Basically these. I'd apply the Cromwell school of statesmanship.

Reality tv shows, Judge Judy and the like included

Thats right. Your either watching a sitcom, documentary, news / psa, or the weird infomercial channels where crazy people try to sell jewelry that could rival Mr. T's.

I love Judge Judy, once she tried to overrule the Magna Carta. You weren't found innocent, you were found not guilty! There's a difference!" shrieked the harpy, forgetting that if you are innocent until proven guilty, and you aren't found guilty, you're still innocent.

1. Ban DRM of all kinds.

2. Ban software patents

3. Reform copyright laws to something I consider more reasonable

4. Break up Microsoft for breaking antitrust laws

5. Make the law clearly in favor of Psystar (read: weaken the power of an EULA).

And with that, I think I've made an enemy of a good many IP companies ^_^

My law will override that law and then you will be sentanced to death by starvation, but you will be forced to watch Lucky Star and pokemon until it works, starting with Lucky Star.

Just be careful how you announce it to the public.

"Stupidity is hereby illegal!"
"How do we enforce it?"
"Uhhhh..."
"He's stupid! Get him!"

Fixed.

I would make it illegal to be Bobby Kotick or Michael Pachter.
