I've absolutely had it now...

So I got to play, and play for quite a while. But the problems are back, with a vengence.

I can load the game, load my saves, even walk around a bit. But every time I try to save, go into the perk chart or just because the game feels like it... Boom, computer shuts down completely and reboots.

I should have bought it in the bargain bin, I was looking forward to a weekend of hardcoe gaming. But nope... guess not.

Sounds like an overheating problem, run hwmonitor with logging enabled (min max enabled), then you can see for yourself, it really uses that CPU.

No, if it was CPU related the game would gradually start failing. besides, it's a 4790k running at stock 4Ghz, then I got 16Gb of ram and a XFX R9 280 DD 3Gb under the hood with a Win7 Ultimate OS. More than adequate. When I applied the fix of deleting the ini files on the 12th I played for 3 solid hours, no problems whatsover, ran like a top. Today, ironically friday the 13th, I couldn't save, and now I can't even load games anymore. I followed the same steps from the initial fix, and bupkiss. Nothing. Verified game cache, re installed drivers... No improvement. I am done. 100% done. There is a reason for the negative reviews, and the bugs are a major one. For me it's a 0/10 for that fact alone. If so many people can't play it normally than it's not because people have shoddy hardware. It's because you coded the game wrong.

I have now officially deleted the game and requested a refund for the second time. I should not be expected to pay for a game that I alledgedly played for 7 hours, but only had an actual 3 hours of playtime. The rest was trying to get the game to work / back to work. I am extremely sour over this. I wanted to play it so bad. I gave it my best shot. Bethesda... Sorry, but you missed the boat on this one.

Start your computer with as few programs as possible. This is typically a software conflict with Gamebryo/Creation Engine. See if it helps.
