Is Abusing OP Weapons the Same as Abusing Glitches?

Hey guys. Welcome to the first real debate of gamesas (at least I think). The question is:

Is Abusing Overpowered Weapons the Same as Abusing Glitches?
Should they receive the same negative feedback/punishment?
Why or Why not?

My Personal Opinion:

No they are not the same. One is strategy and one is cheating. But, I believe both should be frowned upon if you abuse both extensively. I have admit, rarely and only with a large group of friends, have I in Crysis 2 go to the top the building of City Hall and use the majestic pistol trying to kill people. It was all fun and games. I would never abuse it to help me get more wins or get a better K/D. Matter of fact, I would go my negative than positive.

Now to the OP weapons. From Crysis 2 to Crysis 3, there has always been a gun that would destroy all (feline and mike respectively). In addition to Crysis 2s Stealth Enhance, and Crysis 3's Mobility. In my opinion, you should get more negative feedback if you constantly abuse these "advantages" than using glitches. By constantly using these advantages, you are not affecting one game, but the entire gaming community. Everyone will use that specific combination and no one will ever explore. In Crysis 2, 95% of players that reached level 50 would use stealth enhance. An important exception are players like SDub. Not only have they adopted a new way of playing Crysis, but they did it in a way of promoting the Crysis gamestyle. Play how ever you want and you will still succeeded. Unfortunately, I only discovered SDub in the last days of Crysis 2. But in those last days/weeks, I actually enjoyed playing without stealth enhance.

What do you think? Challenge me!

Of course not. The only exception is Bow, it is overpowered because it is glitched.

Auto Armor, endless OHK methods, etc are all something that Crytek intended to be in Crysis 3. It simply highlights a balance issue if a massive proportion of players are using the same 2-3 loadouts...really BAD balance issues in Crysis 2 and Crysis 3's cases.

Not surprising because Crytek are still very new to the world of multiplayer balance, and still new to the concept of learning lessons from previous experiences.

I mean in general. From Crysis, to Halo Wars, to Halo, to Call of Duty. My example was specifically Crysis.

Crytek has look at stats and data on weapon/loadout effectiveness and made changes in patches (well one that I know of). Glitches are missed things. So of course they are not the same.

However, should users be looked at the same way? Yes. Crytek made the game and players bought the game the way it is, so unless the server admin decides to make rules or regulations on the type of play is allowed on that server, than anything is game.

If anyone wants to change the game, then talk to admins or Crytek other than that.. just play the game the way you want to.
