It is the first time at all, that I tried to use a mod. It didn't work, I just can't find the chest in the basemant of that houese in Anvil as described. I installed OMOD, and it told me everithig OK with the AC2 (Assasssins Creed 2). Any suggestions?

Make sure your game is updated with the 1.2.0416 patch (or you have the Game of the Year edition).

Make sure the ESP file is ticked off.

Yes, only AC2 and the official Shivering isles. Last patch of the game. German version, mod is also german version.

Are you sure the mod's files are where they are supposed to be? And when you install a mod, you need to "check" it to tell the game to run it. Run Oblivion and from the start-up menu, click "Data Files." You should click an "X" on AC2's mod file (sorry if you already know that).

The gear is not located in a chest. It is located down in a trap down near some of the broken crates in the back room on the main floor of the house.
