Really starting to appreciate these troll threads. They are popping up often enough!

Since when does ZOS censor out *w o n d e r f u l*

Again, unnecessary censoring of the word *w o n d e r f u l*

Coming soon to the U.S. as the cable and wireless companies try to buy up each other to form monopolies like in the old days.

Apparently I can't post links. TLDR been letting it go for about 2 hours and it's absolutely not where it left off.

I have a bandwidth limit. I'll probably be around 18gb over, at 2.50/gb overage, is about 50 dollars.

In the US almost everyone has a cap, they just don't know about it. Im on comcast with a 50mbps connetion and a 350gb cap per month then 10$ per 50gb over that. So easy to go over that cap every month.

I live in Canada and not in one of the more populated areas so fiber op isn't an option for me. I pay $57/month for internet and phone. I get (on average) 60Mbps down (though overnight it tends to land around 75) and 10Mbps up with a 500gb cap. If I exceed that cap I pay (I think) $1.25 per GB to a maximum of $50. I can pay $40 more for unlimited.

The thing is most of us up here are forced to deal with a very small number of corporations providing our needs (Rogers and Aliant out here) which means they can gauge us on speed and cost. However, if you're not tied to a contract then you can play one against the other and get good deals (relatively speaking). The package I'm on is regularly $117 (taxes in) but when I mentioned that I'd talked to their competitor and they'd offered me better...well then the deal making began.

No "are you sure you wish to cancel?" message, no warning, just clicked back into the window to check my download and bam, accidentally hit cancel. Download over, no more. Gotta restart 100%. It's a massive design flaw in the launcher.

also, ITT: Everyone being a jerk is a bethesda fan-boy who would play a literal turd if it was released under the name "Elder scrolls"

Are you serious? Lol. You haven't even played the game. I assure you, I won't play a "literal" (by the way, look up that word, genius) turd.

Know what it means.
Wasn't insulting this game.
Was calling y'all fan-boys who get offended if anyone gives anything elder scrolls a rating lower than 100/100.

Clearly, you don't know how to use the word, as demonstrated by your use of it.

Don't lump me in with fan-boys. I agree that the installer needs work, for sure.

Metered bandwidth is pure and simple greed by the companies that impose it. There is no argument in defense of it. Greed. Greed for your money.

They tell you it is put into place to keep the few from hogging all of the bandwidth - downloading who knows what. But that is a lie. They could easily meter the abuser and not meter everyone as a whole.

I have unlimited bandwidth with my DSL connection at home and I average about 50GB a month. I watch a lot of online movies and shows. I pay the same low price each month. My cellular service on the other hand is metered to 8GB. I use less than 2GB a month...that is I barely use my cellular for data. It's mainly because I don't want to get hit with the overcharges. The cellular company likes it that way. Instead of spending profit on an infrastructure to keep up with demand - they impose metered connections. It works for them... for now. As soon as there is an alternative solultion with no limits I will drop them and not look back.

The way the internet is headed... that is being taxed on purchases, being censored and even being metered is the wrong path for the consumer. IT's the right path for the greedy. /sigh more of the same :)
