According to Lore there ARE DAEDRA SHRINES IN SKYRIM, even a

I was doing some in game reading today, and my character began flitting through a book on the old tale of Vernaccus, a somewhat inauspicious lesser Daedra, who nonetheless had shrines built to him in the remote regions of Morrowind and Skyrim, for a time far back in history. This confirms the suspicion that there would indeed be Daedric Shrines and ruins along the border of Skyrim and Morrowind, in the remote places where one would expect to find Dark Elves who shunned even larger Morrowind society, and sought out places for their cults, lairs and covens in the concealing wilds of the mountains between Morrowind and Skyrim.

You know, clannfear are one of the few Daedra I really just couldn't stand. They were so. . . annoying.

Dragons are going to be replacing Daedra...but I hope there are still a few around. I'd love to mash some Clanfear heads off and have some Clanfear stew for dinner! :ahhh:

That doesn't mean anything, sorry. Only the major Daedra are worshiped in shrines across Skyrim, and I wouldn't even know how they could implement that smoothly since most Nords don't worship those. Plus, you have to realize that even though an in-game book says something, it doesn't automatically make that book valid. There are many in-game books written as fiction to the universe as we have fiction in ours.

Just because it's mentioned in an in-game book doesn't mean it will be in the game. It's possible that the content of the book is not accurate in this regard, whether it was never correct to begin with, or it was rendered incorrect due to that part being retconned from the lore. And even if it is true in the lore that there are shrines dedicated to a lesser Daedra named Vernaccus, that doesn't mean the game will reflect this, after all, ultimately, what any game shows is not exactly like what it's province is like in the lore, but just a representation of it, it may be that some aspects will differ from lore, or some things in lore won't be in the game, not just in terms of scale (Obviously, Cyrodiil in lore is larger than it is in game.) but in terms of the overall content as a whole, so just because something is in the lore doesn't mean it will be in Skyrim.

Though I really don't see any reason to doubt there will be Daedric shrines in Skyrim in some form or another, when, since Daedra were created, has there been a main game in the series where they have NOT played a role? And Todd even pretty much confirmed there were Daedric quests in an interview, admitably, he just said the quests are there in some form or another, not that we'll get them from shrines, but I think we can assume we do get them from shrines, because that's easier to do than needing to actually summon the princes themselves, still, I think we'll only see the major Daedric Princes represented, lesser Daedra will only be enemies and summons, at most, we might get a few unique Daedra as NPCs, but I certainly doubt we'll see any shrines dedicated to Daedra other than the 16 Princes who had shrines in Oblivion (I know Mehrunes Dagon didn't have a quest in Oblivion, but I still think he counts as having a shrine due to the Mythic Dawn shrine, you just couldn't get a quest from it, which is understandable since Mehrunes Dagon is your enemy. It would confuse things somewhat if you try to help the Daedra you're supposed to be opposing.), no lesser Daedra.

Only the major Daedra are worshiped in shrines across Skyrim, and I wouldn't even know how they could implement that smoothly since most Nords don't worship those

I also don't recall most Imperials worshipping Daedra, yet there were Daedric shrines in Cyrodiil, and in Morrowind, worshipping the "bad Daedra" is actually illegal, and yet people still do it. Just because Daedra worship isn't considered normal in society doesn't mean it won't play a part in the game.

I fully expect at least the scattered shrines as per OB. MW-style larger ones would be cool, but I'm not really holding out too much hope.

It's also worth noting that Hermaeus Mora is actually a legitimate member of the Nordic pantheon under the rather unsubtle pseudonym Herma-Mora. He's not a god that they're generally fond of, but he's bound to have his own sub-cult somewhere.

I wouldn't really expect shrines to Daedra other than the Princes, and those are confirmed, but I would expect a high probablity of Daedra worshipers and cults in the mountains between Morrowind and Skyrim. This seems highly likely and highly probable, And while the in game books may be, in some cases, fictional or based on loose myth and imperfect lore, they still often hold valuable information. The assertion in a book of Daedric Shrines in the remote reaches of Skyrim and Morrowind may have errors in detail, but it seems highly likely there is factual basis for the claim of Daedric worship and related temples existing in those regions, even beyond what the known geography and history suggest on their own.

I don't see why we wouldn't see shrines to the Deadric princes. I don't expect the land to be littered with Deadric ruins like Morrowind. I don't see any reason to not have them.

So in other words, clannfears are exactly like the Adoring Fan except completely different.
