Achievements not Unlocking on Steam :'( : Fallout 4

Hi,

I've played this game now for over 50 hours and have none of the achievements have unlocked. I have searched for a solution to this and tried the following:

* Restarted Steam

* Restarted the PC

* Reverified the game content

* Re-installed the game content

* Restarted Steam & The PC Again

* Tried starting a new character and got as far as exiting the vault ( for the first achievement).

* Saved before the exiting of the vault and try exiting the vault after each of the step above once again.

* Tried starting yet another new character (different gender this time)

* Tried changing the SPECIAL and the character appearance before leaving

* Go to offline mode and back to online mode

* Tried the beta patch.

Now I am fully out of ideas apart from upgrading to Windows 10 (I am on Windows 7) or completely uninstalling and re-installing steam

I would really like to start unlocking the achivements on this game and any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi drone.ah,

Would you be able to tell us if achievements are unlocking for your other games? Or is it just Fallout 4 that the achievements are not unlocking?

I haven't played anything since I got fallout 4, but i had no problems with unlocking achievements before this. Fallout 4 was preloaded and I started playing immediately after launch and I did see some posts suggesting that this was the problem. They seemed to be able to unlock achievements after following the steps mentioned in the original post, which unfortunately, has not worked for me
