You clearly do not understand Tolkien's mindset or the nuances of his explanation. The only reason he is even saying that it is like Earth is because he doesn't want to alienate his world from people's own perceptions of reality (thus ruining his ability to keep the world cemented in believable premises). It cannot even be argued to ANY coherent extent that it is actually Earth. Not only does it have a separate genesis from our Earth but it's form was entirely unrelated except in the same ways that Tamriel is related to Earth.

Yes, Tolkien was saying that the Earth was recreated multiple times by different gods with different physics which had exponentially more intelligent creatures that all went extinct and that heaven is (or at least was) on Earth.

Oh wait, he didn't say ANY of that. Instead he said it was an imaginary world set in the same place in the universe with different rules, different morals, different culture, different geography, different mythology, etc. etc. If you actually read what I linked you to you'd understand this concept. Reading is kinda hard though isn't it?
