Activision chops Guitar Hero and True Crime

Activision http://www.develop-online.net/news/37017/Obituary-Bizarre-Creations the UK developer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarre_Creations today. Unfortunate, I rather enjoy playing Blur with splitscreened multiplayer with friends.

It's also unfortunate that True Crime: Hong Kong got axed, I never played the past TC games (or any GTA since GTA2), but who doesn't want to drive around like a maniac in Hong Kong? I looked forward to that game, and http://www.computerandvideogames.com/286085/previews/true-crime-hong-kong-2011s-most-polished-open-world/ it looked like it was on the right track :(

The drop of Guitar Hero isn't really any surprise, Activision milked that like crazy and few people are inclined to buy lots of plastic extras to play them. I did enjoy playing GH2 & GH3 with friends a lot, though. But I never played any more recent music game than GH3. Enough is enough.

I'm curious how much milking COD fans can take until they get sick of it? Unfortunately, I think quite a lot :P

Apparently they actually tried to keep bizarre open though.
TA games btw, VC and SA are good, and dirt cheap by now.

Sadly even if activision lost CoD (which wont happen soon) they would be kept alive by blizzard, or use all thier money to start a new IP to milk.

 Guitar hero was an origional idea, but they put weaker and weaker setlists up as the series went on.
True crime was just a repetative GTA clone. I won't be losing any sleep over either of these franchises.
