Adam, Network and MM Patch prior to the 5/17 DLC?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:13 am

I feel bad for Cry-Adam and Tom, aren't they just forum mods so they don't know everything that goes on in the company?
Still it would be nice to know at least what to expect in the patch... and what time frame...

There are more updates coming for all platforms but these won't be ready before the 17th.

Shame I won't be buying this DLC on launch like I have with all of CODs DLC then. Fix the grain bug and I buy it. I hope this ends up one of the lowest selling DLCs. Worst. Community. Support.

Ahhhh now Crytek sense $'s and £'s we actually get a squeak out of them.

Not good enough I'm afraid, they won't be ready before the 17th???? When are we thinking Cry-Adam - May, June, July, August, September??? etc etc.

We need better information than this vague shadow.

Sorry, fix this tripe before you try and fleece me out of any more cash.

Same with the Hotfix-So basically instead of fixing the game you decided to do balance weapons/mods...thanks but how about patches that actually work. Now DLC...hmm

Just to get it out there, Crytek has stated that this DLC map pack has been ready for a while because they started on it before the game launched. They have been holding onto it all this time for whatever marketing reason they have. The map pack development is separate from patch development. Having said that, it still seems like they are holding out on releasing a patch as well as a marketing ploy to get us to buy the DLC because Cry-Adam said we won't get a patch until the DLC is out. Dirty marketing trick if you ask me. Crytek, I am losing respect for you guys.

Pay close attention to what Cry-Adam actually said. He said no patch would arrive before the 17th. To me that means that there will be one on the 17th to coincide with the DLC. That's why I think they are holding onto a patch and not releasing it just to try and boost DLC sales by releasing the DLC along side a patch. I bet they already fixed the grain glitch and are just holding onto the patch until they release their DLC. :/

Deman, you may have a point about the patches for all platforms coming on the 17th (hopefully not after). Cry-Adam's statement says "before" as well as "not ready", so it still may not be ready on the 17th. Time will tell.

Surley hyping everyone with news of an update would work much better than having a patch & saying nothing. Just doesn't make sense to me that.

If this did infact happen Crytek would be the most r3tarded, backward thinking company EVER. Their only hope of increasing sales is by releasing a WORKING update before DLC launched. If a patch is released I still want to know what was actually fixed if anything before I bought it. Just because they stick a patch with it wont make me buy it.

You buy the DLC and let us know if a patch comes along with it & if it works lol j/k

WAT?!?

This has to be the dumbest reasoning/explanation I've ever read.

Crytek1: "WOW our game sure plays like garbage"
Crytek2: "Can we fix it?"
Crytek1: "Oh, the patch its done. And MS has approved it.
Crytek2: "Hey, I have an idea. Lets hold back something that improves the games performance and experience because maybe we can get morons to give us money for our broken sh1t"

uummmm.... no

I'm going to make sure the patch fixes the issues before making any further monetary investment into this tμrd.

They haven't concerned what (if anything) they are working on. It could be a new patch that puts a giant smiley face on the floor of each map to appease the masses who are revolting at the unfinished mess we have been served with a shovel.

Dude, I'm with you. I really hope that they are going to patch this game, but I'm sceptical.

These few lines off Crytek only coincide with DLC Map Packs being announced and the cash cow rolling into town.

You catch my drift?

I Don't mean to sound too harsh to you, but your "speculating" lacks logic. xD

This is not how you manage a community or develop and grow a new IP.

Here's a thought, don't just sit at your desk with your thumb up your @ss waiting for the programming lead to gift wrap a change log and gently lay it into your hands. GET THE FμCK UP AND GO ASK!

Adam/Tom if you need lessons or instructional videos on community management I'm sure these guys can help

I would have to respectfully disagree on that one. I know it wouldn't make logical sense if it was about making us as a community happy, but it seems to me that all they really care about is making money on the next DLC. That is the logic I base it on. Of course, I could be dead wrong like I said and I hope that I am. :D
