Adam, Network and MM Patch prior to the 5/17 DLC?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:50 pm

Please tell us you guys have a networking and matchmaking title update releasing prior to the launch of the DLC?

I hope you guys seriously don't expect us to buy DLC with the game in its current state.

agreed, i'm so mad they're doing dlc beforer fixing this crap game....may 17 LA NOIR comes out, if the games still broke instead of buying maps i'm trading it in for LA NOIR. this is a damn good game that is ruined by the lack of support for online issues. i've been patient but i now believe the lack of response is an acknowledgement that they cannot or simply willnot fix this game likely for financial reasons. so since the map pack was already made a while ago they're gonna try and scrap whatever change they can thats left to be gained from the few who still follow.

They do expect you to.

And most people will probably buy it, regardless. Works all the time with COD.

Cry Adam wrote that the reason they keep quiet is because when they have nothing to update we complain so they just stay quiet, or something along those lines.

Isnt this new DLC new info. Why hasnt anyone from Crytek announced this on the offical forum? I don't get that it took a random gamer to bring this vid to my attention when i've been on these forums since I bought the game & haven't heard a word from Crytek.

I don't own the game anymore but even if I did there's no point in buying this DLC with the issues that keep getting mentioned. The minute I hear Crysis is being fixed I will consider buying it again. If they drop a patch before the DLC i'll be waiting impatiently for feedback from the COMMUNITY which will decide Crysis fate. If it turns out to be good then I will buy it along with the DLC the second I hear out, but you've got to be mad to give them any amount of money without an update. Even if this DLC is free it wouldn't before enough to re buy the game.

Lets hope a patch is on the way.

COD developers actually communicate with their CUSTOMERS that's the BIG difference.

If this game isn't patched before any DLC is released, then they can whistle and p1ss into the wind.

I don't know about Treyarch, but I was on IWF for years, and it was a mission to even get things across. But they had community mods, who would help do so. So yeah, it was reasonably better.

Moreover, it still doesn't excuse the fact that people are still buying map packs, for a worser skinned version of COD4. But, COD devs do handle it better than whats being show here.

Bottom line. This isnt CoD & no matter how piss poor that game is people will still buy in to it. COD been around for years Crysis hasn't. Pretty mad to compare the 2.

Crysis has been around for years on the PC.

Also you don't need years of experience in the gaming industry to provide their community from time to time informative messages. I've never developed a game but if I had inside knowledge of what their doing I would be capable of letting people know whats going on. Almost anyone with half a brain could do this.

Stop defending them dude, they don't care about you.

What difference does that make what consoles it's on? Communicating is communicating. Not difficult at all. A 5 minute post everyday is way within their intellectual capacity.

If we can spend a few mins a day to write posts then I think they can.

I think you need read properly twisted. The only point i'm trying to make was that people will buy in to COD DLC regardless of how bad it was & that this wouldn't happen with Crysis like that guy was making out it would. If people buy COD DLC then they'll get Crysis DLC. I don't think so. So what your trippin about I don't know.

Huh?

The difference that they have been around for years on PC means that they should be adept at speaking to their community regardless of what platform they release the SAME game on. I was not attacking you at all. I was attacking Crytek.

Also my post had nothing to do with anything you mentioned in your above 2nd paragraph. But now that you mention it, then I agree with you. People will most probably still buy the Crysis 2 DLC.

Well I don't know if I will as previously stated in this thread. So I may be a retard or not, but probably not as like I've said before I don't want to reward bad behaviour.

I think we should all boycott the DLC until they fix all the problems with this bug-ridden BETA VERSION that they released into the shops!

Crytek, I'm not buying your DLC until you fix the bloody game!

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a matchmaking and lag patch rolled into the DLC.

Adam, can you provide a bit more information in a topic, or so, of what users can expect to see fixed in the upcoming patches?

Or....?

As we've stated many times before, as soon as we have patch notes, we'll post them up.

Thanks.

Your reply is greatly appreciated. However, its far too vague and open ended.

So basically we can get an update a week after the DLC or 9 months from now?!?

Can you please be a bit more specific? Is there a target date you guys are shooting for in regards to an the update?
What primary and secondary issues are you going to resolve?

Given your company's current track record expecting the community to purchase the DLC base on the faith that you'll get it fixed is naive and laughable.

THE MM DOES NOT WORK...AT ALL why in the hell would anyone purchase DLC when the MM only lets you play Skyline, Terminal, Statue and Pier 17 90% of the time?!?

Hahah, I was waiting for you, Twisted, Shin, or maybe Stab to reply to that.

I just couldn't be bothered to type out a proper response to Adam.

You've been working on updates, for a long time now. You just said you are in constant communication with the teams. What does patch notes not being ready, have to do with giving users some engagement, and info on what we can expect? No one is asking for a post on each small update. Just some info on the problems being discussed, and how you intend to resolve those etc.
