Adamantium?

Will we see the return of adamantium gear this time around?
We had it in Daggerfall, so why remove it from Oblivion?

We need ADAMANTIUM!

It featured in Morrowind too, in an official plugin.

I believe in the most recent interview, Todd mentioned there being a greater variety of armour this time around, so maybe...

Agreed, I want Adamantium back. I thought it was the best-looking armor in Morrowind bar none. (With Stalhrim a close second...want that back too in some form)

Well I hope that we get multiple armors made out of the same metal, I mean why would there be only one armor made out of iron? or steel or adamantium

It might be stepping on to many trademark toes. They can probably get away with it,m but they might figure it isn't worth the potential fight.

Actually, what he said that "there's certainly more" and then went on to note that the armor will "fit the tone of the game." I was thinking this morning: wouldn't that be like Morrowind and it's unique "bug" armor. Chitin, Netch, Nordic, for example.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with for the unique - non-standard - armor and weapons. I'm hoping it won't all be "fur" and "leather".

The more types of armor the better! I would like to see a full set of Dragon Bone armor. The Dragon Bone Cuirass was in Morrowind, but now that we are in the land of the dragons, hopefully we will see more!

Ah, that's right. Thanks for correcting me.

That was my thought too - and while it might not be as unearthly as Vvardenfell, I'm sure Skyrim has enough of its own fantastical culture (and fauna) to produce some interesting armour & weapon styles.

For reference it was included in tribunal for morrowind as well as the official plug-in and i would like to see alot of armors return in addition to adamantium as well as weapons that correspond to their armors.

Adamantium is not trademarked property. Here's a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adamantium#In_other_media. Even if you don't trust ol' Wikipedia, at least look at how prevalent it is in other media.

Adamantium is not trademarked and has been used in many different movies and games, including earlier Elder Scrolls games.

I don't really care about adamantium. Sure it looks cool, but I can take it or leave it. I just want each material for armor/weapons to look cool. I don't remember, but how rare is adamantium? Are we to believe it is a common natural resource in all of Tamriel?

But anything that adds variety to the game is the cats pajamas. But like it has been mentioned before, I want variety within the same armor/weapon types. I want my set of iron armor to look different than every other set of iron armor. Or I'd like to see it get dinged up as it wears out. Or get black stains from being hit with fireballs.

Besides, it's all about the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unobtainium:)

I'd love to have some back. Not just as armor, but as a variety of different everyday materials.

I'd also like to see the silversmiths return to make quality dinnerware.

I would much prefer Adamantium to be the best armour and available in several styles, instead of the demonic Daedric on my heroic hero.

Well daedric armor is augmented ebony, but that's the only instance you'll ever see.
