[RELz] Adash - City of Magic

Post » Mon Sep 06, 2010 7:40 pm

I've managed to get stuck in the grave of 1000 ways too.

Spoiler

I don't know if I'm over anolysing the clue or if I'm misunderstanding it, but one would expect that right and left in balance suggests that you're supposed to alternate the rights and left in our path. However, right and left are relative terms and they need to be tied to an actor and a facing to have any meaning. And which times does turning left or right actually count? Does it count when going through a winding passageway or only in intersections? Is there any purpose to the placement of the burning lights in the corridors? Should I perhaps move to the left and right of the placed light soures? Should I turn left or right before or after the light source? I kept trying various things untill I forgot what I had tired and meant to try, and then I managed to get motionsick (Yeah, I tend to get motionsick in winding caves or passageways).

I think I figured it out mate

Spoiler

As per the instructions you turn right after you are teleported into the maze and follow this path. When you are teleported again you turn left and then you alternate right - left following the corridors...

(it's the hint about balance between hands)

This mod should be considered for characters +20 Level.
Not normal at level 3 to face a character wearing Blackluster armor a daedric longsword.

Wow. No, that's not normal. One thing I was wondering was... what's the minimum recommended level? 20+ sounds a bit high, though...

I think I will stop here.
This mod fall in what I have expected.

From what you're saying, I can't fault you that. :(

I managed pretty fine on level 10, using OBXP so I'm expecting I'd be somewhat weaker than what a well-developed level 10 character could potentially have been with vanilla systems. I was using armour and weapons of dubious quality, but with some rather useful spells from Midas Magic, such as the Force Push spell. It helped me keep the crawling hordes at bay, and I could stop one particularly annoying miniboss mid-leap with the force push blast. One battle mentioned in one of the spoilers gave me some issues but I managed to get through the first chapter at level 10 with some occasional reloading. No more or less reloading than I usually have to do with my FCOM configuration though.

Once you're through the first chapter you can travel back and forth to Cyrodiil freely, but I recommend that you bring as much supplies as you can afford. Repair hammers and especially healing potions if you're not a major in Restoration. The first chapter can quickly wear your character down if you come unprepared.

So 10+ should probably be alright if you're well prepared. I wouldn't recommend any lower levels unless you're keen on using tricksy tactics or unbalanced gear though. 20+ should be a straight romp, I imagine.

With the Grave of 1000 ways it helped me to walk, not run, and to zoom out to third-person view as some of the lefts/rights are directly to one side, not angled in front of you.

If you need English voice actors I could give it a shot, let me know if the need arises. This is an outstanding project, thank you for taking the time to release it in English. I'll definitely DL and play as soon as I can.

I'm stuck just after the Grave of 1000 Ways. The part with the graves off to the left and right. I've tried going from one area to another in what seems to be a correct order, and there are spiders in one of the rooms, but aside from that, I don't know what to do.

Solution:
Spoiler

As far as I am aware there is no right path. Three of the room are simply useless. Visit the room to the left of the room with the force field in front of it. Near one of the sarcophaguses there should be a large button in the floor. Step on that and a path will open along one of the walls, allowing you to proceed.

I am stuck at the entrance to grave of a thousand ways. It says I need a key but I don't have it. I know the riddle says something about holding black heart and divine blood. I have a black heart but what is the divine blood? What do I need? Thanks for any advice.

Fantastic mod so far by the way. Very professional.

If I recall correctly, you should have two black hearts from the liches you killed and a bottle of Vernima blood. This one you should have found on a tomb / altar / grave (?) before reaching the place you are now.

Sorry I am not specific, this baby is huge...

Hope I v've helped a tiny bit...

Seems I need some help myself as I am stuck at the Chapter 1 quest: "the Order"

Spoiler
I went into the western district sewers looking for the necro I should kill, took the big jump into the void and ended up in the chamber indicated by the quest arrow.
I collected the 3 "strangely decorated stones" in the chamber there, alas, a locked door has stopped me and I cannot proceed.

Where is the key to the locked door?

What do I have to do before I can fast-travel to the map marker for the ruins (they start with V). The little red flag is there but I can't seem to figure out how to get there.

But the colored stones into the right colored containers and the door should open.

One button is near the steps, another one on a wall...

Sorry, I cannot recall where were the other ones  but if you use a companion it should not be so difficult to locate them.

I am now in the sewers or ancient Adash city hunting the necromancer. I have killed three Grotesques and have their pearls. I am at a magically sealed door. It says I need to find three holes near to the castle. I have no idea where this is. Is it back at the beginning of the level? Is it nearby? Thanks if you can advise.

It's ok. I made it through the door. You have to use the three pearls on the door itself.

love the lands, the cities are great, the people are fascinating, but are there ever going to be any other challenge fight other than spiders?

anyone please tell me yes?

(and yes yes the spiders are even better than the ones in MMM)

I finally got to a cave in the new lands, ran pass a lot of sheep,(No mountain lions or other indigenous creatures?) found a cave and in the cave and a dungeon the only thing to fight was ... more spiders! <_<
