It would be nice to get Steam achievements for Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 have achievements on Windows Live! but not on Steam, many other companies already ported Windows Live! achievments to Steam: Red Faction, Dark Souls, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dawn of War 2.

I honestly don't understand the allure of Achievements. But I suppose they're harmless.

I would also like achievements. I am not sure why, other than they give me direction and help me to discover all of the content the developers put in the game.

In a way, I'm kind of relieved that they aren't on steam for Fallout 3 since I already got them all on the 360 and I'd somewhat feel obligated to get them all on steam too.

I do typically like achievements though!
