[Help] added mod via Workshop and game wont boot past Bethes : V

I do see in the comments now: DAWNGUARD, HEARTHFIRE AND DRAGONBORN DLC REQUIRED!

I haven't a clue what that is.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get the game back? I am no pro at files and such, I may need a walkthrough of whatever I have to do. I have unsubscribed from the mod and restarted my computer, no avail.

I even went so far as to delete all of my addons and unsubscribed to them all and re verified my game cache and started again with just the Better Males addon and it's still not working. Please help me

Edit - I tried this and it didn't work:

It means ALL THREE expansions are required.

Is there no way to continue on without the mod and without any expansions?

I would like to get rid of the mod files and get my game back.

I really don't want to throw 300 hours away.

Any game saves you have before you installed this better male mod should be fine. Just don't delete them during your troubleshooting.

I would back them up and then uninstall/reinstall Skyrim and all the DLC's

How do I find the save prior to the mod, back it up, and then use that save after reinstalling?

Since that mod prevents you from even starting the game, it hasn't done anything to the existing saves. Just remove it and load last save.

If a master of a mod is missing the game will crash on startup. So you either install the proper expansions, or do not use the mod. And it doesn't mean the end of your save file.

Yes. Just delete those two files: Better Males- Bodies.esp and Better Males-Bodies.bsa and you should be fine.

Of course make sure you have 'unsubscribed' from that mod or Steam will re-download it. Edit: I see you have done that already.

Like was said above, you were unable to start the game with the mod installed, so you don't have a save made where the mod was installed. So don't worry about that.

Thank you, I really appreciate the help. I will try this as soon as I get home at 8pm est and provide an update with how it goes.
