What I don't know how to do is accomplish the above without causing conflicts with dozens of other mods. Adding things across the whole game world is serious business. I don't want to add things to existing form lists already on templates because that would conflict with their normal equipment loadout. Instead, I'd like to add new leveled lists that contain my shields, and apply them to existing templates. AddItem will let me add leveled lists, but unfortunately doesn't accept Editor IDs. Obviously, for randomly generated creatures, the Editor ID is all I have to identify them, so this is a problem. I'm looking for advice on the best way to add things all over the game world without causing conflicts.
I got freaking energy shields in the game and working on all characters. It'd be a real shame to not be able to release it.
