Adding Dead NPCs

How do you make a dead NPC lie flat on the ground in the CK?

I can just have them standing up, and then they fall to the ground at some point in-game.

But some of them are bent over backwards like a comatose acrobat and other people report that they are floating in mid-air, with their arms out like a CND symbol, just as they look in the CK.

Cheers!

Try putting them against a wall or some object, then check the starts dead box, then enable havok and try to go from there.

I have a hard time with this too, and have never got the hang of positioning them, but I believe there is a way to move them. But what I usually end up doing is select my dead person and hit the havoc button and let them drop right there. They will sometimes fall with a leg under them or whatever, but with the havoc button still pressed, you can pick them back up and drop them again a couple of times until they lay sort of flat, lol.

EDIT: Ninj'd by mojo! :ninja:

Well, I always tick the "Starts Dead" box

Which is the Havok button? I found ALT-H for "Run Havok Sim", but it does not seem to do anything.

I tried adjusting the Z and Y axis to 90o as that seems to work with chests etc, but it had no effect in the CK.

But I just loaded a save and now she's lying on the ground, flat on her back. But as stiff as a board, with her arms out at her sides.

But I suppose, as she's dead, rigor mortis could have set in. ;)

But what if I wanted to draqe her over a tree stump or something? Or have weapons in her hands as if she died fighting wolves?

I tried X, Y, Z, ALT, CTRL, SHIFT and all combinations of two or three keys, but I can't move her around except in a standing position and I can't do anything with her arms and legs.

Is there any way for dead NPCs to have weapons equipped and blood on them? I am using the corpseHunterWoodElfM NPC, but with Traits unchecked as I wanted her to be female.

Cheers!
