Adding Dragon Shouts Via Console Command

Post » Tue Aug 18, 2015 3:25 pm

I'm not looking to cheat here!

I am using the mod Skyrim Unbound as an aletrnate start mod. What is suppode to happen is after you kill your first Dragon, you should hear the Graybeards Instant Message and obtain the Unrelenting Force shout, along with the start of the quest to go see the Graybeards.

In my few playthroughs, I have yet to have this work correctly. However, before with my other characters, I have been able to "console command" the Main Quest (setstage 105 08) to get the Graybeard portion started, along with the shout.

This time, however, I did not check to see if I had the shout. I am now standing inside High Hrothgar with Arngeir asking me to shout at him. I don't have Unrelenting Force! I do have a couple of Dragon Souls so ifg I can get the shout, I can unlock it.

Visiting my "Everything Skyrim Bible Place", aka: the UESP, I have tried their commands:
and to no avail. The error coming back is about the shout <00013e07> is not a valid shout. My load order (for the main files) is normal. I'm not loading Dragonborn before Dawnguard, for instance :) I've also tried adding the "15" noted for the first part of Unrelenting Force and that did not help, either.

I am at a loss as to how to find out what the ID is for Unrelenting Force, though. I've tried a few comands, including and nothing about shout IDs comes back. Any ideas from the experts here?

Thanks for reading this long post :)

The ID for unrelenting force is 00013e07 (assuming it's not been overwritten by your mod in some way). You should be able to use the "player.teachword ID"command to learn it.

Well, that's odd. So, the ID must be different in some way on your system. When you try typing "help" are you typing it like:

help "Unrelenting Force" ?

Here's a shot of what I get when I do it: https://i.imgur.com/6A0tV9R.jpg

And when you enter it "teachword 13E07" ? You don't need the leading zeros, but too many of them might break it.

Since it knows it's a word, it's taken the teachword part, so there must be a problem with the number. Note that the "e" can be upper- or lower-case without a problem.

I tried without the space. I'll try it with space and see what I get :)

I'll give that a shot, too :)

It may not be working for the same reason that the mod isn't working right...whatever that reason is.

You might consider using a different alternate start mod. I use "Live Another Life," and recommend it highly.

The game is right to complain. Look for "Fus". It should yield a WOOP (Word of Power) with a the 13e22 reference code.

Also, make sure you use player.teachword. Being specific on what gets added to whom is a good habit to get used to.

Heh, here's the problem. You have to do one of two things... You have to either be in third person view and click on your character and then enter:

teachword 00013e7

or you have to enter:

player.teachword 00013e7

Doing it that way can be either with or without the zeros in front, but sometimes it makes a difference, so try it both ways... :)
