Adding fitting music to F4

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 1:36 pm

Hi folks

Like many of you, I was positively surprised with the inclusion of Atom Bomb Baby and possibly the switch to a more overall "rocknroll" feel!

I was wondering, do you guys have plans (after release of geck) to mod some new songs or old fallout classics into the mix?

I normally add a lot of the tunes from the Sergio Lione spaghetti westerns into the games, it worked especially well with NV, for obvious reasons. For F4 I found The Kinks - Apeman, not that it fits the 50s mark, but feels like a good match with F4, while including the line "I don't want to die in a nuclear war."

Please share your plans :)

The theme music from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly would've been great in FONV!

I think I'd like them to stick too the slight underground pop/jazz/swing blues songs. Atom Bomb was a great choice, although whilst slightly rock n roll it still took the character of previous hits.

My personal hopes are;

I'll leave my list here because not many people will be that interested, I'm sure, but once the geck is released I'll be adding my own radio station :D

I actually don't usually listen to the DJ songs so much. Fallout 3 and New Vegas both had awesome ambient tracks. I preferred listening to those. I hope the music is easy to replace or add to. I would like a wider range of music than the last two Fallout games provided.

I believe the proper term is Rockabilly, the genre in which Elvis belonged.

A Man with a Harmonica from Once Upon a Time in the West would have also. Same composer though and a lot of the same musical cues. Stands to reason.
