[REQ]Adding particle emitter to a creature

I'm not entirely sure if this can be done, if it can't I'll do without I suppose.

I'm working on a creature for Diverse Ecosystems called an Ancestor Hive, basically a Treant with Ancestor Moths and their larvae living inside it. What would be really cool would be if a particle effect could be added to the mainbody.nif file for the Gnarl creature to simulate a cloud of moths swarming around it.

Is such a thing possible, and if so, would somebody be willing to do this for me? I can handle the texturing side of it if somebody sets up the model for me.
