Additem Codes for Fallout New Vegas : Fallout: New Vegas

I like to mess around in my game, and usually spend more time modding than playing. For my own use, since I couldn't find one elsewhere, I created an easy to browse (for myself) list of all of the important additem codes. It took my about 3 1/2 hours of boredom and typing, so I figured I'd share my list with the community so others wouldn't need to. There's just a few things I'd like to make clear;

1. This list is probably not complete - I'm not perfect and probably missed something important. I also left out much of the non-playable content. If you spot something worthy of being added (and made playable via a mod) let me know. If there's something that should be added to the list, please say so also.

2. Many of the entries and perks are leftovers from F03. They might be implemented in FNV, but who knows. Use these items at your own risk.

3. There's probably a few dozen typos, and I abbreviated several words so that they fit nicely in my spreadsheet that I read this one on my 2nd monitor. If there's an important request, feel free to correct me though.

4. Don't use these to blatantly cheat unless you've completed the game and are just having fun. They'll ruin the experience and you'll get much less enjoyment otherwise.

5. Please help me correct the list.

Thanks for the effort mate - I never use the console to give myeslf stuff on my first playthrough, but I'm now on my 3rd go through the game and this will come in very useful for any experimentation I feel like doing to work out what build I want next, much appreciated

EDIT oh i thought i would add one its a weapon i hade alot of fun with in FO3 . ive seen it in NV but not sure if it can be used as one . but it hella fun to mess around with . its the fire hydrant the bahemoths use. Its very heavy though. its fun sending a bahemoth through the air. lol

Many of the armors are not marked as playable by the PC, including the one you mentioned. If you check your inventory weight, you'll see that you are indeed carrying it, you just can't select it (or drop it.) If you saved that game you should do the remove.item command to get rid of it.

As for other armor items that don't work, I decided to leave them on the list since there will be, or is already, a mod that will make every armor item playable.

Also, some playable items are bugged and don't stack properly - like medium Combat Armor Mark2.
I bought some for big $$ to repair my own, and it didn't show (but the weight was there).
Also heavy guns, sometimes won't stack... this is very annoying!
I had to add me a Mark2 armor with the console because I thought I was jobbed (my ~4,000 caps were definitely gone).
But then I had three! Well, the weight of three anyway...
Have they fixed this stuff yet!?

I s'pose you could print your list, for when you're inside the G.E.C.K. or whatever...

The item codes won't help with game glitches. The stacking problems aren't related to this item list. If an armor (or other item) is added to your inventory but not visible, check the GECK. It's probably not marked as playable and is a quick fix if you really want it.

As for the wiki; if you're talking about the item codes in non-list form, then I'm not concerned with it. I wanted an easy to read list for my own uses and testing. I don't want to go to the wiki every time I need a code if I can just hit ctrl-f. If they put up a similar list to this one they either copied mine or typed it up themselves, since there wasn't one when I made this (which is why I made it.) I've seen various item dump lists around but none of them are complete, or written in an itemized fashion.

The useful ID's are on the wiki. I have a list of the useful character ID's and factions. I could add it to this, but have opted not to so far because neither is a complete list.

We generally don't pin threads like this. We're happy to pin comprehensive guides like http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/911922-faq-tips-tricks-hints/, and they can certainly contain item codes like, but I don't see this being pinned independently.

Also, please don't bump threads, it's spammy, and chances are someone looking for this information on the forum will be doing a search.

I don't disagree on any particular point. My ego excluded, this thread itself is not deserving of a sticky.

If someone bothers to write up a comprehensive faq guide for New Vegas that is worthy of being stickied, they can just link to this one, as the F3 sticky does for it's respective list.

I don't think anyone needs my permission since I just pulled the codes from the GECK and couldn't claim ownership on the list if I wanted to. I'd be annoyed if someone copy/pasted it and didn't at least thank me for doing the work, but in the end, what am I actually gonna do? I put this on the forum to save others from spending a few hours doing the same thing that I did, not for some imaginary internet glory. I collect those as fervently as I collect Steam and G4WL achievements...
