addition of Aurora Borealis?

Post » Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:30 pm

But why bother explaining the aurora any way? Not everything needs to be in lore the lore is only there so that Bethesda can keep people interested while they wait for the next game to come out, lets be honest its a marketing tool, it offers some explanation to keep you interested and the rest is up to interpretation. Lore can change so why bother explaining Aurora? it looks cool and adds to the game

I agree, it doesn't have to be explained (although, in my opinion, the more lore the better). I was just disagreeing that Earth physics "can not and will not and should never ever EVER" be applied to TES and/or fantasy games.

Lol, I'm an infant because you don't understand the terminology you're using?

I don't understand it? I believe you've already made it quite clear that you don't understand it.

Done with this. It has nothing to do with aurora borealis being in Skyrim. My initial post was a hypothetical and you had to go ahead and run with it. Get over yourself.

Yeah I get what you're saying I probs should have been more specific when I said physics but I didnt want to write another page. However as far as science goes Auroras can happen on just about any planet

Wonderful.
Now that we have moved on from the naturalists can we please discuss the important part?
Can we discuss things from a storytelling perspective? The literary part?
I am sure we all agree that that is the cardinal point here.

It is beautiful and therefore it is true.

You've proven you don't understand it. You are basically said that you turn a map upside it change where north is. All you had to do was admit you made a 3rd grade mistake and rectify it. Instead you began ranting. Good job. :foodndrink:

Was that pun intended? Regardless, that is pretty funny, considering all of the North and South arguing going on.

*waves a flag*

I find it honestly astonishing that you two can rant on here totally blind to what other people, me, have to say.
Is this your own private little rant factory?

Please read a few comments up to actually see ways of resolvement.
Sheesh.

Not sure if you were talking to me (im assuming you were) no problem I agree however after reading every single comment on this topic (seriously, it took a long time to) I felt the rant was necessary just to say that the main discussions shouldn't be about science and what people speculate the map is like. It should be about if people want to see a cool graphic effect or not. Very simple

Fine yes, beautiful. Ooh, you win. Happy?

And what would you call thinking no matter which way you held the map meant up is north?

You failed to comprehend everything I said then run your mouth about how much more you thought you knew. Now you're trying to save yourself from looking foolish by calling me out on things I didn't do. Good job. :foodndrink:

So i hate to jump in to your "disagreement" or "misinterpretation" but (and im being serious not sarcastic) could you both please end this argument just call it a draw because I can almost guaranty that it will continue for pages and every time it will say the same thing though it may be phrased differently.
Thanks

There was no arguement. Just someone trying to make himself/herself sound more intelligent than another person. It's over now as I think we've established the misinterpretation on their part. :)

I don't think I tried. Or else you would've remained done with it when you said. Or not have stooped to pathetic insults. But what can you expect when their whole argument is based on ignorance.

Now because you dont agree with me and continously fail to adress my point you class it as spam?
I do have a mind to become tricky indeed!

It is not my fault that you in your physical state of mind keep forgetting to adress the basic rules of storytelling.
It is not my fault that despite being continously reminded of the basic rules of storytelling one interjects some pish posh about physicality.
As if that matters, in a story.

And when one then supplies numerous hints on what in fact is good storytelling, one is classed as spam?
I think not Sunny Jim.

At least what I was arguing was relevant to the thread. Not some meager attempt at crap talking and saying stuff is beautiful over and over.
