Additional patches? Please comment Bethesda

I would consider buying the Legendary Edition for PS3 if there are additional patches coming fixing the Dawnguard and other DLC bugs? Would someone from Bethesda please comment on that? It makes a difference as to whether I buy it or not.

We don't need any comment from Bethesda due to a previous press release (blog announcement) that clearly states , "Even though we’re moving on, we’ll still have minor updates to Skyrim as needed. We’ve invested so much of ourselves into Skyrim and will never truly say goodbye to it."

(source: http://www.bethblog.com/2013/04/15/moving-to-our-next-adventure/ )

The decision to move forward is based on a current project that requires the full attention of the studio. Hidden within the text is the clear idea that Bethesda has stopped work on Skyrim without really saying it. There will be no more DLCs. There is no small group of coders dedicated to fixing console issues as their efforts have been re-directed. Any notion of future patches will not be entertained until the current project can allow diverting resources. That translates into an if we can fix something and if we can devote time to it, we will. Otherwise, don't expect any updates. Bethesda believes the game is in a stable enough state to "let it ride".

Sorry, you're praying that people who haven't cared since day one are gonna pay attention to your plea. If you intend to purchase the Legendary Edition, purchase it for the PC. The strong point of the Elder Scrolls has always been the modding community that exists for the PC version of their titles. It never fails that aspiring programmers and hard-core fans develop fixes faster than Bethesda. They also tend to add features to the Product.

Don't get me wrong, I have the PS3 and purchased the Vanilla Skyrim for it. But, I can't in good conscience recommend purchasing the Legendary Edition for any console at its current price. It's not worth it. There are still tons of problems with the console versions. Do a search and you will find them. If you want it for console, wait for the price to drop to $39.99 or less.
