To few options, no one is saying they expect no addons at all. Just keep it clean, nothing that can give you an advantage, forcing you to use it when competetive.
Heh, everyone's a critic. He posted more specifics in an earlier poll and got criticized for it. I totally understand why he just went black and white this time.
I am compelled to vote, yes. Not for the things it adds but for the the removal of the crosshair and compass.
... and a few other things.
Oo
I think you should try the Arma series.
hmm i guess i should change my vote
i voted no, but only because i thought the question was if i wanted addons in TES, which i do not
but if they are there then ill have to use them
Can't vote, some addons are fine, others can potntially break the game and change the way the game is both played and designed.
Quest, NPC info, Resource Markers, whatever, makes you less a player having stuff handed to you on silver plate.
PvP or info of players used against players - cheating / unfair advantage.
I would prefer not to use add-ons, but ESO's design is based on needing them to get even the most basic in-game information, so i'll be using at least some.
I know it seems common knowledge but no addon with make in the game before going through ZOS. And if it somehow does or peeps are using it NAI then it will be removed. ZOS has shown it listens to player feedback, trust them to keep the game balanced as much as they can while allowing the freedom of a ES game. They want this to suceed more then you, trust me.
Voted yes, there's bound to be some UI mod that I'll find better than the normal one.
Actually, addons do go through without ZOS even looking at them. They very well could have something available in the LUA that was not meant to be available or something that could be exploited in a way they didn't think.
How is it if the other player has the option to use it or not ?
And the videos I saw had anything that absurd to call it cheating.
Should have had 2 polls. The poll above and the poll that ask should there be addons.
This is a bad poll, because it doesn't differentiate between addons.
Addons are not all inherently bad for gameplay experiences, but some are.
The poll obviously just wants to tell us how many people play/don't play with addons. Doesn't matter which kinds. You use them or you don't either way. It's that simple.
I'm definitely going to use some addons.
FEED ME WITH YOUR ANGER!
Couldn't vote, for there isn't an option for "Don't yet know" available ....
Don't yet know.
So what is the line in the sand for a "bad" or "good" addon? How does one define 'cheating" in relating to add-ons / mods? Do you agree with ZOS's idea of a cheating mod vs one's own idea what a cheating mod is like?
Ill use them because to be competitive they will be required. Would prefer if there were no addons and the game provided everything.
I feel there is way to much info that ZoS has made available so addons will get out of control pretty fast. I do see this as an issue that will cause major problems soon after release.
