Adhesive?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 3:18 am

Ok, early on this seems to be the crafting item worth it's weight in gold. Where is a good place (early on) to find items to scrap for this stuff? I've grabbed all the duck tape and stuff I can find. So far I've just gone to Sanctuary and Concord. Made a home in Red Rocket.

Thanks.

3 mutfruit, 3 corn, 3 tato and a bottle of purified water will give you the ability to craft 5 adhesive.

You'll be able to set up a farm somewhere to get those resources in massive quantities.

Can get via other locations, but convenient quckstart even for level 1 chars is:

1. Goto abernathy farms - hadvest bunch of tatos
2. Goto grey gardens for mut fruit and corn
3. Setup water purifier, two mediums for 20 water or industrial one for 40 - rate of water added to workbench is faster with more excess
4. Plant 15+ seeds for each crop (only limit is more food planted = more auto tended by unassigned settlers = higher defense needed)

5. Harvest in 1 game day or so. Harvest every time you normally come back to base, usually new crop by then

6. 3-3-3 plants + 1 water = 1 veggie adhesive = 5 adhesives

You will never worry about adhesives again with what sanctuary can produce much less setting up mini adhesive farms on other settlements.

Oil will become your new limiting reagent instead of adhesive. Wish there was a way i could drill for oil wells.....

If I don't feel like managing a farm is for me, what items other than Duck Tape and Wonder Glue can you strap for adhesive? Thanks.

If you dont want to actively manage a farm, fair enough and your personal playstyle.

Do every step i posted in above post #5 - but skip harvesting anything. You will get less materials, but long as you assign or have extra settlers that get auto assigned to work that patch of plants, a lesser number of resources will be auto deposited inyo your work bench inventory.

So no managing farm, just setting up the initial crop. If you dont want to even do that part - lots pf FO4 is going to not be your cup of tea then

And it won't be my 'cup of tea' because ... FO4 is actually a farm simulator disguised as a RPG-Shooter?

I managed my little farming plot next to my house in Skyrim to get my ingredients for Venison Stew, so the farming per say isn't really the issue. It's just Bethesda svcked all the fun out of the whole settlement feature with a very poor interface and little to no instructions on how to do anything.

But yeah, I guess I could just drop some crops and harvest for glue if that is 'by design' how you get more adhesive.
