Adjusting Third Person/Crosshair

Post » Sat Jul 30, 2011 1:43 pm

Alright, so this has been sort of bugging me for a while now, but I've been trying to figure out how to do two things: First, I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to zoom the third person camera further back. I've heard that MGE has an option in the misc tab to do this, but I looked in the tab, and didn't find anything that did this. The second is, I'm wondering if there's any way to enable the crosshair in third person. I'm using MCP's third person camera tweak to put the camera over the shoulder, but the view is a bit too close and there is still no crosshair.

I know this might be a stupid question, but it's really been irking me for a while now.

Don't use MCP's Over-The-Shoulder option in conjunction with the MGE settings, as they will conflict (I believe the MCP description of the feature details this)

Third Person Crosshair is an MGE mod, and which version you need depends on which version of MGE you use.

Edit: Go to MGE's Macro Editor, select an unused key on your keyboard, and select Function. In the second drop-down box, scroll all the way to the bottom. You can bind this key to one of the functions listed for moving the 3rd person camera left-right-up-down-back-forward while in game.

Are you sure that they conflict? MCP's description says to use MGE to adjust the camera:
Moves the third person camera to a position over the right shoulder. The camera position is fixed; if you want to adjust the camera position, using MGE 3.8.2 or later will allow you to do so.

I'm using MGE 3.8.0, and I can't seem to find any version later than that. I've figured out how to zoom the camera in, but I can't seem to zoom the camera out.

Also, I've been able to find a third person crosshair mod, but apparently this mod is incompatible with MGE, according to several comments on the mod. Unless I'm missing something here (which I probably am).

Have you seen Adul's mod? http://adul.net/?p=dl_mwmods_third_person_crosshair
Also found on PES, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=25051&id=7705
Compatible with MGE and MCP.

Third Person Crosshair - With MGE's or MCP's over-the-shoulder camera options, you can now fire ranged weapons in third person without your own character blocking view of where you're shooting. All that's missing was the crosshair. So this mod adds the crosshair in third person for your third person shooting pleasure.

After checking with Hrnchamd, I was told MGE has priority. That being said, they both do the same thing, so why use both? MGE will give you the options you're looking for.
