Adoring Fan & Annoying Man (Sticky)

Post » Mon Jul 05, 2010 5:43 pm

In Morrowind there was Fargoth. An annoying Wood elf in Seyda Neen.

Then there was the Adoring Fan from Oblivion. Another wood elf.

And lastly, the Annoying Man (sticky) from Fallout 3. Even though he was human with it being F3 and all, he still resembled a wood elf with his small frame.

(A video I did some time ago about the last 2)

In each game the annoying characters became more and more annoying. Now, it may be a bit early to speculate. But I have a feeling Bethesda are genetically engineering a character so stupid, so annoying, It's going to blow our minds.

And he's a non-essential companion you're going to have to keep alive during one of the longest and most frustrating escort missions in a videogame ever.

Oh ... I modded all the follower NPCs essential before I did that bit. Was it supposed to be frustrating? Oops :D

The most annoying character in Morrowind was the posh lady you have to escort to the Ghostgate. I ... um ... killed her because she was irritating. That wasn't wrong, was it?

I'm sure it didn't feel wrong at the time. Perhaps she will be reincarnated in Skyrim :unsure2:

You sly devil, you!

Only if you also robbed her of everything she owned and ate her. Let no spoils go to waste!

I have no doubt Bethesda has a team of people who design annoying characters.

There was also Gaenor in Tribunal and Glarthir in Skingrad.

I'm sure Skyrim will also have a few bewitched Nords lacking clothes and lamenting the loss of family heirlooms.

Yeah, really. I always brutally murdered Hrisskar flat-foot for being such a total dike to Fargoth.

What we really need is another lady like Drarayne Thelas, I'll never forget when I happened upon a ship full of pillows.

I hope they make the annoying person even more so. Even thought they were really annoying they're awesome to play around with. You ever burried the Adoring Fan under 10,000 duplicated water melons? You ever pushed the Adoring Fan off of a mountain? Ever turned the Adoring Fan into a goblin with Wabbajack and sikked the guards on him? There are endless possibilities!

i shot her in the face with a crossbow.. then loaded from about two minutes ago.. then she annoyed me again.. so i shot her in the face with a crossbow

If they make a new annoying NPC, they better make a new way to kill them too.

She was, I did not kill her but I arranged a blind date between her and a hunger. Yes I let the hunger live.
Might have something similar in Skyrim, just add a bit of Jar-Jar to her.
