Adoring Fan permanent death?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:38 pm

As the topic suggests, I went out into the wilderness to kill the adoring fan. I went to the top of a mountain and shot him off with an arrow. Its been 8 days I think now and he hasn't come back. Has anyone else had this problem?

What exactly is the problem? Not getting your arrow back?

(Heh, sorry, couldn't resist.)

Haha no I got my arrow back. The problem is that I've grown to like the little guy over the years and not having him here to kill makes me sad

If you told him to wait in a spot before shooting him, he's probably still there only alive again.
If he's not there check the arena district.

There are so many things wrong with that, that I don't even know where to begin.

:P Anyway, are you on PC or X-Box? You could always try bringing him back via console commands, if you're on PC. I've never run into that "problem" (more like blessing!) before. Have you checked the UESPWiki for possible bugs (and their fixes) with his respawning?

I usually dress him up in armor and tell him to wait outside my house in Skingrad, look nice with a personal guard in ebony armor and it stops me from walking to far and getting arrested trying to break into the smith's house.

How did you manage that? Or are you on PC?

My guess is he finally got tired of being killed all the time and went back to Valenwood

The armor, yes it's a mod who let you access the inventory on close friends (or people you cast charm on). You can just ask the adoring fan to wait.

On a console uou can reverse pickpocket perma bound armor and weapon on characters as they are weightless. Summon a set of armor and weapon or use the magic stones, the one at the east riverside north of Leyawind gives claymore and cuirass who is hard to summon.
Now you need to damage the items, summon a scamp and get it angry on you if no suitable enemies is nearby. Let it hit you until the cuirass take damage and kill it with the claymore.
Repair both items and you can drop them. Wait until the spell times out or dispel pick them up again.
Now get a full set of armor and pickpocket the adoring fan, place the set on him and he should equip it. Now he look more imposing. Ask him to wait outside your house.

Now this can be used in better ways, get a lot of armor and weapon, around 15 sets recommend that you use duping here, reverse pickpocket onto the defenders of Bruma, very useful if you do the fight at high level. Do not give them helmets as they would look like daedra.
For added survival chance enchant the swords with absorb health.
