Advanced acrobatics in Brink

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:06 pm

If there were "cool" tricks in this game I would be laughing at everyone doing it, while pumping them full of lead while they are disoriented by the crazy spinning.

u would get parkour owned and then while your dead they would tea bag you

i think any "special moves" would just be a waste of time and energy your not trying too be flashy your trying to haul (censored) so all the flips and crazy acrobatics are just a waste of time,i don't wanna do a handstand followed by a flip than 3 cartwheels into a OH NO A SHOTGUN *BLAM* i'm dead, i like the simple easy to use mantle and slide.

If it is a move worth doing and can be used to dodge then yes I would love to see some advanced moves.

Not really.

If you were to do a back flip/front flip/ect., your screen would blur up, you won't be able to control yourself until it finishes, you would be doing a predictable move, and have to re-focus from the blurs.

By that time, your opponent has put enough led into you to kill you.

It'a amazing how people know when something is going to be useful or not without ever have tried it or see it in use just all based on speculation. I'm glad our our pioneers of inventing did not think like this without trial and error no one can can answer this question honestly.

Nah, you could always cancel the flip and crashland right on your face. :teehee:

Nope, you're stuck in a predictable animation and you'll get butchered because of that. It's like LED Panda said.

Funny thing is that you got owned at your own game, because there are no "Advanced Acrobatics" :)

We've all seen the trailer at the beginning when a guy does a back flip aerial off a wall to avoid a missile right. So my question to you is who would love to be able to actual do something like that in the final game? I know i would!!! So I created a poll to find out who agrees with me.

Video says it all.

There is a slide for that.

Yeah, but sliding on your ass after a fall and rolling are two totally different things and only one of them makes any sense in avoiding damage. That's why I'd probably prefer a roll there.

That was a CGI Trailer. So it was all animated and just for show. There was no gameplay in it at all, plus it's EXTREMELY old. <_<

I agree with Urban. It's from like 2010 and it's just to get attention, no gameplay in the cinematic........

Yea rolling does make more sense, but then you would be stuck in a canned animation.

He dodges a missle, which could be just as easily dodged by stepping to the side.

Then he gets owned by a machine gun, which he couldn't have dodged with his fancy little flip.

As a matter off act, every character in that trailer who uses fancy movement, dies.

Urban, heres a life lesson. When people Rage, they don't listen to reason and will say anything to stop an enemy argument even if it doesn't make since.

True, he doesn't make any sense at all. I'll just drop the argument knowing that he probably lost.
