Greetings,
I recently uploaded two videos documenting my decrepit avatar's mundane day-to-day activities, which center around him and his companions patrolling Cyrodiil's major thoroughfares as assigned by the Department of Justice in White-Gold Tower (The Elder Council mod). They begin life as simple game-play captures, with no fancy trick-shots. I later edit out some of the more boring bits as needed, add title cards and an occasional caption, and voice my avatar.
I think them relevant to this forum due to my play-style. I consider myself an immersionist, with roleplay a by-product. Furthermore, I attempt something rarely encountered outside Machinima type videos, to confine myself to character-specific voicing rather than commentary.
Admittedly, I have a lot going against me. I can't voice act my way out of a paper bag. Plus, my voice itself is embarrassingly inadequate. What can one do? The show must go on, as they say. At least I give it a go, laughable as the results sometimes are. (On the other hand, I am relatively pleased with some of his utterances.)
I suppose I should mention that these are my very first attempts at producing and uploading videos of any sort. I'm learning as I go.
The play-through seen in these videos has endured over 2k hours. At this point in his existence, there is little for my avatar to due beyond his road patrols, transport consignments for two mercantile establishments, transport Tamika wines, stock his Chorrol sales shoppe, and gather taxes-due for the Council.
This is apt to remain a small series. I have enough raw footage for maybe another two videos, three tops. For now I can record nothing more. The capture card I bought, an AVerMedia C985, was removed due to unsolvable conflicts that recked havoc with my computer. A real shame. It performed its primary task amazingly well, with no noticeable FPS hit.
I do not monetize, so have nothing to promote beyond wishing to expose my inadequate work to a wider audience and generate discussion.
Thanks for the ear! I close by pointing out that the videos in question are found in my signature.
