Advice on Assassin Khajit

Post » Sun Oct 19, 2014 7:47 pm

Hi all,

I've never played an evil assassin or tried the Dark Brotherhood questline but I'm up for it now. My PC's a femal Khajit and she's investing heavily in the Sneak tree (including the OP options on the right branch) and Archery. She doesn't wear armor, won't be using magic (except for healing herself) and may possibly dabble in alchemy. Her attribute increases are going to Health:Stamina at a 4:1 ratio. I don't plan to use smithing or enchanting, so upgrades have to come from loot. She's using the standing stone for stealth now, but I'll get her to the Serpent Stone soon. Long-term storage will be in the DB sanctuaries. I'm avoiding the Thieve's Guild questline at this point, but maybe that'll change later. Here's what I'd like to know:

Aside from the Dark Brotherhood questline, what do you suggest? What quest rewards have you found most useful for your assassins (I don't see much appeal in the Daedric stuff)?

Thanks!

I mostly join the Volkihar with my assassins. Something about vampire assassins really intrigue me.

Mehrunes razord isn't bad. I see you limit your character quite a bit. Most of the stuff I use on my assassin come from the DB quest line though.

Krosis or Rhagot, could be decent DP Masks, but I usually go with Ciceros clothing as it has pretty good bonuses.

I've played a very similar build, and had a lot of fun with that character. Two items I used a lot with that character were Valdr's Lucky Dagger and the Targe of the Blooded. Their effects are somewhat modest, but I found them useful, and their designs are not over-the-top "edgy" like Daedric stuff tends to be, which suited my character's desire to not call more attention to herself than necessary.

I also found it worthwhile to earn the Sinderion's Serendipity boon, because although I also was only dabbling in alchemy, it was nice to sometimes get an extra poison from time to time.

It might be nice to have a crossbow and zephyr (both from dawnguard questline, I think).
