Advice for a Solstheim character

I've wanted to do the Bloodmoon quest for a long time, but I find myself getting frustrated and/or burned out. So far I've only made it partway through the standing stones portion of the main Bloodmoon quest (Spriggans, man...).

I'd like to give this another shot, so I could use a bit of advice in terms of skills, approach, etc. Here's what I'm thinking in general:

A Nord warrior-type. Possibly the Warrior sign?

Major skills: Long Blade, Heavy Armor, Block, Hand to Hand, Armorer

Minor skills: Enchant, Athletics, Unarmored, Axe, Marksman

The above is tentative, but I definitely want Heavy Armor (never really tried it, and the Nordic iron armor looks boss). Unarmored seems strange, but sometimes your stuff gets broken... and Solstheim has no repair equipment for sale. Block will help me against some of those OP Solstheim enemies.

Hand to Hand also seems odd, but I've never tried it and I hear it's pretty great once you get it high enough. I want to punch my way through Morrowind!

Long Blade *and* Axe - I know you "should" just pick one weapon skill. But sometimes you find really great stuff, and I love how battleaxes tend to knock down enemies... Claymores don't seem to have the same knockdown effect. But I'm open to suggestions here.

Marksman because I want to be able to hit stuff before it me, obviously.

And Enchant... well, I'm thinking this could fill in some gaps. I've never gotten deep into Enchant before in MW. I figure here it could help me heal; I could also enchant a ring with Bound Weapon and not have to worry about repairing stuff.

Character-wise, I'm envisioning this guy as something of a Crusader type: a Nord adventurer in the vein of Beowulf, Sigurd, etc, with a "trollish" interest in physical magic (i.e., Enchant).

As for approach, my thinking is to go through the Legion questline on Vvardenfell first. I've never done that one before, but I think it will get me a good deal of experience (and will fit with my character's goals) to prepare me for visiting Solstheim. Working with the Legion will also give this Nord some reason to embark on the main Bloodmoon questline (before eventually taking over Thirsk and becoming a werewolf, hopefully).

From there, I'd also like to do the Tribunal questline (another quest I haven't finished yet... damn OP goblins...). Might be hard as a werewolf...

Any thoughts?
