Advice on Graphic Replacements

Perfect. I made it xD

QTP3 works well and with 15-35 FPS in wilderness. The only issue I found is that the trunks in the starting dungeon (the trunks you can make fall in the head of the goblins) are not there anymore.
now I have to control Open Cities and AWLS.
Still don't know if I should do a fresh install to avoid problems in the future.

Anyway.... Thanks for the help.... All of you! :foddndrink:

In the starting dungeon there are some trunks (I think in English is translated trunks... I'm not English xD) with the "activate" icon. When activated the trunks fall in the head of some goblins down there. The trunks are disappeared when I just installed QTP3.

He's referring to the stack of logs at the top of the incline when you enter the goblin area in the tutorial. I was running with QTP3 and didn't have this problem, so it might be something else.

If there is no plugin, the mod cannot change object names or move things in the world. Data files, which is all that QTP3 consists of, are simply rendered. They are loaded, and called to appear when necessary, kind of... The English is coming from some other mod. Let's see, invisibility... Make sure BSA Redirection is set in OBMM Utilities > Archive Invalidation.


Edit: Ohh... That is what I though. "Trunks" did not register with my slow brain, sorry... :( Still, QTP3 has nothing to do with that.

You did not upgrade the UOP to 3.2.7? Maybe the UOP changed the names. I was thinking Harvest Flora, but I think I was confusing its functionality with Qarl's Harvest. It would not touch any logs. The UOP seems like the only reasonable candidate for that change.

This is not the first time I play with it, so it cannot be, and I read about a lot of bugs with 3.2.7, so I'll wait for 3.2.8 xD

I thought 3.2.6 was the version everyone was having trouble with... I have not heard anything about 3.2.7 yet, except for the Gottshaw Inn guard still needs to be removed.

UOP wouldn't completely remove something like that anyway. The game is trying to show you an alternative way of dealing with enemies - it's rather important. I also run UOP 3.2.6 and Harvest Flora...

I did not say that the UOP would remove the logs. I use it too, obviously. I was just talking about the logs being renamed in English. Am I the only one here that uses the English version of the game? My logs are not missing, ever. As I said, the missing logs are probably a data file issue, not something a plugin did. BSA Redirection could have this effect, and so could a mesh not finding texture files.

Edit: Do the logs reappear if you uninstall QTP3? (When you reinstall it, if you decide to at all, hold CTRL and click "no" when prompted to overwrite.)

Are you completely sure that for the last time you started a game (or played at all, I suppose) the load order was identical, along with everything else (e.g., texture replacers, obse plugins), *other than QTP3R* ... ?

Because, as far as I'm aware, there's no way QTP could do that. But then, I have learned some extraordinary things along the way, and this might be another one...

Well there's absolutely no chance that QTP3 has anything to do with having no starting spells. It doesn't even remotely effect that part of the game. I'd say you need to take a look at some of your mods and see what they do in order to find what's causing all this. Obviously you are using something that alters the CG tutorial phase. Or you have some bizarre conflict happening which is having an effect on your game. But forget about QTP3 for that issue, it can't possibly be the reason for it.

I know it... but I'm absolutely sure about my load order.
the only things changed in my data directory are the textures and the meshes from QTP3, SI textures and AMUlet and Rings.... No esps. I made the archive invalidatiopn and everything.
I'm sure it is not a problem involving QTP3. It cannot be. I'll try with the standart load order from BOSS (SM first, LAME after) but last time I used that load order and it worked...
Maybe it is a problem with character generation from nGCD, or a quest triggering too fast.
I'll try everithing beginning with the thing not altering load order.

Did you rebuild the Bashed Patch or something? You have Supreme Magicka, which gives you scrolls in place of some of the starting spells. It sounds like your game has been corrected, according to your load order.


Edit: That is the intended effect. Loading LAME after SM or the other way around determines which magic overhaul you want to have control of the balance of the magic system. If you want SM's stats, leave SM loading after LAME.

Deactivate SM and see what happens. I only suggested it because other users have had SM installed, reported something very similar and wondered what had happened to the game...

Deactivate SM and see what happens. I only suggested it because other users have had SM installed, reported something very similar and wondered what had happened to the game...

Yes, it's Supreme Magicka, but I didn't activate that option in the ini..... And I have an additional issue.... my skeleton stays summoned for 30k seconds :lol:
All summons don't have the death sequences (they simply don't fall and desappear directly). I'll check if activating LAME plugin for Summon stats could solve this issue

EDIT: LAME plugin doesn't work... Any advice? Thanks for patience :bowdown:

You misunderstand. The LAME plugin is only a conjurations override. If you do not know what conjurations are, you can probably Google that or look it up at UESP Wiki. Custom conjurations has nothing to do with SM's default behavior removing some of the standard starting spells.

Please, please, read mods' descriptions before you add them. SM and LAME both extend the average duration of many spells: SM ~x3, LAME ~x4. You have not described something being "broken" yet. You are just being surprised by those mods' features, clearly outlined in the docs.

The only problem that is still open (as far as I can tell from your posts) is that the logs are missing from the Starter Dungeon. That is not okay. Have you tried uninstalling QTP3?

Actually I mean that the summon skeleton spell stays for 30.000 seconds and not for 3x or 4x.
I'm a noob of course, but not completely.... I play SM since the 0.86 version, so I know the features, and with my previous build (with FCOM) I added LAME.
I know about all the features of those magic overhauls and I spent week to read readmes before adding them.... So I absure you I am not the usual kid wich not read readmes and descriptions before adding mods.

As for BOSS, yes I use it but I change my load order with OBMM, moving down SM, after LAME to make stats prevail. I did this way with my previous builf, with FCOM full installed and it worked without a single problem.

As for the log, I didn't checked again... I'll start and see if they are there


EDIT: I seem to have this problem only with SM activated... And I didn't have with version 0.89b... Only with 0.90b3.
Changing the load order and putting LAME after SM fixes this issue, but I lose SM's stats

I think I'll uninstall oblivion and reinstall from the beginning following the installation guide.
After uninstalling QTP3 OBMM got mad and did the issue stated at the point 15 of the FAQ. If I follow the steps stated in the FAQ I get the same problem every time I restart OBMM.

Anyway... The logs are not there... As expected

I cannot say much on OBMM's part, and I still do not know what is wrong with the skeleton standing for 30.0 seconds. The x3, x4 are averages. A skeleton, the on you are summoning, is very low level, so it is not super crazy to have it around for quite a while. Why do you think this behavior is wrong? I can actually check this when I get home... I'll have to check my PC's stats upon creation to make sure I have the spell though, I guess. Could you tell me what your character build is? I suppose I need 25 Conjuration or something.

OBMM: Are you talking about the OBMM FAQ? I do not know what that is. I'll have to look it up. When reinstalled Oblivion, did you reinstall OBMM?
