Hey.


So i updated to the new version of Climates of Tamriel today (3/30/13) and the ClimatesofTamriel.esm Boss report says;

"Error: This plugin is corrupt due to being touched by a defective version of TESVSnip and should not be used."


Now, i actually caught an update from the author saying the problem has been reported to him and he will fix it soon. So to anyone freaking out because the mod page is hidden on nexus, rest assured, author knows!



HOWEVER;


He also said that its actually not corrupted and was suprised at the hysteria. Which to me, sounds like it would be okay to go ahead and play....? A few messages down however, an apparently knowledgeable BOSS updater? or user? or something said the file is absolutely corrupted and not a good idea to play the game because it has been used with TESVSnip and that can cause major issues with your save game etc etc.


Sadly i already played and saved earlier today before BOSS was updated, so im possibly already screwed. But anyway to finally get to my point..



- Anyone that downloaded the new CoT decided to go ahead and play?

- Is it absolutely definite it will mess up my game if i play?

- Anyone provide any advice or are we just not going to play till its fixed?

Of course all will be well soon and updated/fixed (hopefully) im just curious if its a TERRIBLE idea to go ahead and play or listen to the author and he said its not really corrupt? As you can see, if its truely not really a problem, i want to go ahead and play however the player that seemed to know a lot about BOSS warned us its definitely corrupt and im not sure what or who to believe...

Anyone have anything to add? Please? If nothing else... am i the only one sitting and waiting wanting to play but not sure if i should? lol

Project Reality; Climates of Tamriel author will more than likely have this issue fixed extremely soon, so please check the date of this post (3/30/13 915pm EST) incase you read this 48 hours from now and the issue is a thing of the past and nothing you need to worry about. The last thing i want to do is cast a bad light on CoT because i love the mod!!

That's an unnecessary space.

Just listen listen to the author. BOSS is a program, the author is a human.
