advlts that don't want fallout style gore in skyrim place yo

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 4:42 am

This is a place to be counted.

Guys, it's called a census. I can agree that the OP could have elaborated more, but the point of this poll is to judge the numerical strength of mature fans who would prefer that FO style violence be excluded from Skyrim. There've been dozens of violence polls with plenty of options in them. This is just a simple "how many of you feel the same way as I do?" rather than a "who wants what?".

What is the point of a one option poll? Anyway, I'm no advlt, but I don't want Fallout style gore.

How is it a poll if you only have one choice.

I would want a hybrid of Fallout 3. Not gory like Fallout 3 but something in between that shows a little bit of blood but it isn't overdone.

The point is to get your voice heard my young friend, and to remove the "gore obsessed" = "mature/advlt" titles

I doubt that Skyrim will have a T rating. It'll be MA but not for reasons that are associated with Gore.

this is my point exactly of what's wrong with this thread.

This guy was so confident that people would vote for it that he put one selection. Topic reported as spam.

Well I'd say live Fallout in Fallout :) TES has to measure up only to TES.

Doesnt matter. Half the people who will vote are not 18 let alone 21. I for one dont want the gore simply because its unrealistic. I do, however, want more realism.

I suppose Im an advlt. Im 21, but I don't really feel like an advlt. Anyway, on topic, I really don't care. If there's a lot of gore, fine. If not, thats also fine. I do think the one option thing is kind of funny though, so Im gonna show some support and vote no.

Way to make the poll unbiased. Seriously though, I see what you are going for, but I think you overreacting. I have seen quite a few topics in here regarding the gore factor, and I have seen VERY few requests for Fallout style gore (like maybe 2 people). The consensus that I have seen, points to the vast majority of people wanting slightly more than Oblivion, with some minor visible wounds, and perhaps a rare chopped off limb. Pretty much everyone has said that limbs flying around on every death, and bloody mess style perks would be ridiculous in an ES game.

I didn't vote in the poll, but not because I want FO style gore, I just don't want that vote to be interpreted as me not wanting any gore. I think it would be ideal to have a little bit more than we saw in Oblivion, but it needs to be realistic and not gratuitous. More than dismemberment, I would at least love to see a giant claymore at least leave a scratch on an enemy. So I guess my question is........what is your point? I don't understand how someone can love playing games where they slaughter people with weapons, but then cringe at the thought of the weapon making a mess of someone. You aren't smacking them with a pillow you know...

I don't want Fallout-style gore. I want TES-style gore. :)

That comes in two varieties. It could be Arena/Daggerfall style where things explode when they die or it could come in Morrowind/Oblivion variety, which means they just fall down.

I put on another thread I want unrelenting brutal combat with severing limbs and heads in finishing moves, but not overdone like it was in Fallout, if it was done like that and well implemented it would be great. I thought it was confirmed that Skyrim was going to be M?

I wouldn't mind if they would go as far as Duke Nukem Forever regarding gore.
You know what ? Bethesda said that there will be finishing moves on the game. Finishing moves by themselves should be gory.
Another game that will have finishing moves is going to be Duke Nukem Forever. One of them has Duke rip off the tusk of a mutant wereboar, with all bloods popping out.Maybe that kind of stuff could be nice at Skyrim.
But I don't want unrealisticly too much blood and gore like Mortal Kombat games, and I think that some of it would be good.

we agree my friend. The one option poll is just that, you're not for it you don't vote, very simple :P plus I love seeing trolls.

I want the gore. I want to be drenched in buckets of blood. I want to laugh with glee as I eat a feast of monster brains served up on my axe. I don't care if people think it's childish. I don't care if they disapprove. Make it a toggleable option and everyone is catered for (except the moral guardians of course).
