Makes me wonder how sensitive certain spirits are to being called certain things.
If I approached Akatosh and said, "Greetings, Lord Daedroth!" what are the odds that he'd:
- step on me?
- respond, "it's Aedroth!!!!"?
- laugh himself into a [dangerously fiery] coughing fit?
- look shifty and pretend not to have heard?
He'd do all these and more, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygI-2F8ApUM
Aka's more about stasis then change. He allows mortals to perceive the world properly and keep track of things. Since Lorkhan and he are twin, and they are one and the same, except when they remember they aren't, it's safe to say that Aka has a bit of Padhome in him as well.
All things die/change/transform in time, time itself included. Aka gives birth to himself again and again. Eats his tail, the poor guy. He decays, too, as much as that is possible in a world where time is cyclical. Maybe Aka just wants to become linear (to himself).
