Yes, that's normal behavior for him. He should stay there in the Hotel until his AI gets triggered for him to move to the spot out in front of the manor for The Fastest Blade In the West, which can happen at various times depending on when you complete the quest Death And Taxes and how high your fame is.

the NPC Macrinus works in similar fashion, FWIW.

Version 1.21 has been released. This is a bugfix release that fixes a nasty stat drain bug.

- Removed erroneous placement of Sigil of Kerrach.
- Fixed bug where Sigil of Kerrach was causing permanent stat drain.

Get it http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22828.

Macrinus just went berserk in my game and managed to kill three of the patrons of The King and Queen Tavern before my character, with a little help from the square jawed chaps of the City Watch, managed to kill him. And I once found a corpse there earlier which I have a feeling he was reponsible for...
I hope his death will not screw things up?

That's...not normal behavior for Macrinus. He just up and randomly started killing people? This is with version 1.2 of the mod?

Won't mess anything up as regards the main quest of the mod, but there is some optional stuff you need Macrinus for, and you'll miss out on that much at least. Shouldn't be a big deal to just load a new copy of him if you like, assuming you can't just reload.

"Yes, 'tis true, I saw it with me own eyes!" This was with v1.2
I also saw Orlando so the same at the Tiber Septim Hotel once, but then I was just testing stuff.
Weird that this stuff only happens with modded NPCs? Same thing happened with an NPC from Telekinetic Damage, but his Aggression was higher, 30 IIRC.
Maybe they need to be members of the ICFaction?

EDIT: I see Orlando *is* a member of that faction. Hmmm...

Crazy. Just...crazy. I'm pretty much at a loss as to why this would happen, especially considering neither one of them has an aggression value high enough to do anything unprovoked.

I wonder, though. Is it possible they're being provoked in some way by some other NPC, reacting to them, and then getting jumped by whoever? Only thing I can think of.

Add Macrinus to the IC faction for citizens. Assuming he isn't trying to acquire food for an eat package that should solve the problem? If he *IS* trying to get food and is out of money he'll obviously steal for it, which will attract a whole lot of unwanted attention.

Yahbut:

- Orlando's in the IC faction, and apparently he does the same thing, or did it at least once.

- Both NPCs, at any stage in which you find them in the IC, are set to wander packages for their local areas, and never have any other pack, much less an eat pack. They stand there. It's all they do.

- Even if that were the case, both NPCs have both barter gold and an infinite source of food in their inventories. Which is why I asked if he had 1.2, because I added those in that patch...precisely because of this issue.

Which all boils down to me being confused as to why this would happen. Barring other NPCs attacking them.

Well, then it's other NPCs attacking them. I once popped into the Tiber Septim Hotel to find Orlando beating the snot out of two pirates who got warped there because of a mod I removed. But that's because it's the safety net cell Bethesda set up for NPCs with no cell to call home. So all sorts of shenanigans can go on there.

So one would need to know who all has taken up residence in the tavern where Macrinus is located to know what's going on. But it certainly can't hurt to put him in the faction.

Hello Dwip, I just opened AFK_Weye on TES4Edit and found 34 identical to master records removed from AFK_Weye.esp, which all of them about AFKDranasTombWorld. Are those records safely removable?

Arthmoor -

No, probably can't hurt at that.

ShinRA88 -

So far as I'm aware, yes. Removed them in 1.21 today, too.

Just wanted to poke in to thank you again Dwip for such a wonderful mod. I actually have a character doing stuff other than troubleshooting/sight-seeing, and I stumbled upon Beneath Your Darkest Fears, and I wanted to thank you for making such a wonderful mod that includes a side quest that really could be easily considered a main quest in its own right. :salute: :goodjob:

Only weird thing was
Spoiler
Asharkalz was not as fiendishly tough as I expected, and dropped a (nearly) full set of daedric armor. Luckily, I have the willpower to ignore it--Level 15 is too early to have (near) endgame armor.

Overall, a very enjoyable mod, and I'm sure I haven't even finished all of the quests yet ^.^

Thanks. Glad you're enjoying yourself.

That said, a big !!! to the other bit, considering that
Spoiler
Asharkalz generally rips people's level 20+ characters apart, including mine.
I'm curious as to how it played out for you, and what sort of character you went in with. Any

fire resistance
, for instance?

As to the

daedric armor, the thought was that if you could kill a level 22+ (25 in your case) boss of Asharkalz's stature, you deserve it. If nothing else, those display cases need filling, right?

makes it look like the CIA had fun with your post! ^.^

Spoiler
I will mention that it did take me one reload from death on him, and I had help from my two summons. Also hit him for weakness to magicka --> disintegrate weapon, as I noticed that sword was a mofo if he started hitting repeatedly. As for my character, it's a RBP Breton, so relatively low HP, but high magicka resistance + a couple of enchanted items). And I totally understand the reward--and like I said, it's no biggie, I just left it there and *poof*, I'll never get it again :D

But again, very cool having such a large quest to stumble upon outside of what I expected from AFK_Weye (I purposely read as little of the readme as possible, as I like to stumble upon the quests "naturally"). :goodjob:

A couple of slight bits of news:

- First and most important, DO NOT use the large desk on the second floor of the PC manor. It's bugged and will eat your items. Don't be like me and lose all your sigil stones. I'm collecting all sorts of things for a patch that will happen at some point, but it may be a while.

- The walkthrough link at Nexus now works again, and I've updated it to reflect changes made in 1.21, plus added complete stats for all the items and powers gained in the mod.

I think I found another faction problem.

I currently strolled into the Faragyl Inn (and have Arthmoors Faragyl Village installed too).

I start talking to the crowd and then everyone (vanilla and Faragyl Village added NPCs) get angry at a guy named Armingerius with the formID of ##0483fd

Just out of the blue they kill him. He is from this mod. Since the above faction posts and that he was attacked by both vanilla and mod added NPCs - I think it is an issue here.

Well that's certainly different :)

Didn't happen in my case though, with or without my own Faregyl mod thrown in. Maybe you did something to piss the guy off and he went ballistic against the patrons?

Nah I reloaded 3 times thinking it was a fluke or bug.

He doesn't do a thing and even engaged one of them in conversation. They all then throw a hissy and kill him outright.

He apparently has a quest item on him, so I'm supposed to meet him there or get him myself or something. My character does not have the quest so maybe his AI or script is messed up as he expects there to be danger, but he shows no aggression.

I had to turn AI off in order to leave without him getting off'd. Wont go back till I get that quest.

Do you happen to know who, precisely, attacked him? That inn seems to be a popular place for people to stick modded NPCs in. I'm quite positive he doesn't go aggro under normal conditions.

Three times and I did not see him lift a finger. Not that he had a chance.

I don't recall all the names no. The potato snatcher cat lady was one, A short breton guy (I think from your village mod) and a dark elf lady, an imperial dressed - umm like the tooth fairy or something.

They all just laid into him again and again then like all psycho Cyrodiilians went back to doing what they do - talking about mud crabs.

A very unpopular guy I guess.

None of my Faregyl guys have any reason to bother him. They're not set to be mean and aggressive. It sounds like you have something messing up the faction relations in there. And the potato cat shouldn't have bothered him either.

Best I can suggest is if you get in there and the folks attack the guy again, take down their names and formids. Can't really dig much deeper without knowing who's trying to start bar fights.

Arthmoor's got this covered, but:

- Armingerius is set to be entirely peaceful unless you trigger one and only one dialogue option you won't have without the quest.

- He is factionless, so I imagine he's not well loved, but that's not enough to start fights by itself.

- I'd be highly surprised if the problem was due to a vanilla or Faregyl NPC, as I've personally had them all peacefully coexist with no problems a couple of dozen problems. You never know, but.
